I have ran into a problem that my studs appear to be too long and I can't fully tighten the nut to the wheel. How would you recommend I fix this?

  • These Chrome Locking Lug Nuts are not intended to be used with longer aftermarket studs as you will run out of available material for the locking attachment to catch the nut. These should only be installed with the factory lug nuts they are intended for.

would these lugs be considered conical style or ball/radius style? i plan on getting a set of weld rts s77b rims and want to know if i can still use these lugs or if i will have to buy new ones since the weld rims require conical lugs. thanks am

  • These Lug Nuts can be considered conical/taped. But we cannot guarantee fitment on Weld Wheels.

    Good Product.. love the key.

These look great on my Shelby Razor Rims. The key is much easier to use than the previous key I used. Only setback was that I ordered an extra key from Gorilla Automotive on the form that was provided and when the envelope showed up with the packing slip, there was no key in the envelope. Only the hole where it came out. I tried calling customer service but I just get recordings. No one called me back. It should have not been sent in an envelope like that. Beware of ordering the extra key. American Muscle was fast with the shipping and always great service!

    Not Bad at First...

Nice at first but already showing signs of rusting on the inside. Id stick to regular lugs the next time but im gonna try scrubbing the insides with wd40 or something. As far as security i think a big allen key would work. My stoclk lugs are 7 years old and been taken on and off a lot in that time span and no rust.

Love these Lugs! They look really good and will make it almost impossible to scratch your rims when removing them. I put some anti-seize on wheel studs to prevent them from rusting

These performance locks look great with chrome wheels are have an excellent appeal due to their unique construction. Highly recommend using anti-seize grease on the bolts prior to mounting new wheels to prevent rust from forming on bolts and prevent the spread onto the new lug nuts since the bolts are directly exposed to the elements with these lugs. Just speaking from experience and what worked for me. And YES, you'll feel more at ease knowing that these lugs are a theft deterrent since your wheels can't be easily stolen.

    Great product

Reason i wanted these are to replace the beat up stockers, and i also hated sliding a socket on the stock lug nuts because the socket came to close to the rim,and i was afraid to scratch the finish on my FR500's.Great product, looks clean, and gives a nice custom look.

    Great Looking, Bad For Studs

First these studs look really good, but after owning them for about 3 years now and having to replace 3 studs I'm finding out why they're not a good choice. Turns out that these studs were keeping moisture near the threads on the outside and after awhile the stud would rust enough to become weak and shear off. I've had to replace 2 on the front and 1 on the rear already from this. It's ok though, it gave me an excuse to buy stronger studs.

    Chrome Locking Lug Nuts

I got these along with a set of 18x9 black chrome saleen rims. They look great, only draw back is they will start to rust over time unless you keep your stang out of the rain. I ended up ordering the black spline lug nuts for this reason. If you plan on purchasing these lug nuts, I would recommend getting an anti rust cleaner of some sort before putting these on your wheels. Overall, fast shipping and was very satisfied with the product.

Ok if you live in good weather

These are great if you live in good weather. Im in Illinois and have had them for 3 weeks and the center are showing signs of rust. I wouldn't use these in the winter for fear they would rust on the studs. Otherwise they look great.

Great buy all 5 lugnuts on each rim are locking. I am glad that i spent the extra 10$ so i know they can't get stolen. Cheap buy and worth it. They shine just as good as the rims which is fantastic!

    Chrome Nuts

These seem to be well chromed...I'll see how they last. This type isn't the normal "key" type locking nut. They have a hex "allen" type key. This is my only concern, that someone with the desire to steal your wheels, wouldn't have a difficult time. If you are interested in a higher security lug nut, these are not what you are looking for. They do look good, but provide minimal theft protection.

    Rusting after two months?

I purchased these Chrome Locking Lug Nuts to complete the look with my new Deep Dish Bullitt rims. Sadly, after being installed for just two months, the insides of these lug nuts have started to rust. This drastically takes away from the gorgeous look of my new rims. Had I known this was going to happen, I would have settled for the chrome acorn lug nuts. Looks great when new but sadly doesn't last. No, I do not recommend this product.

    Rust City

These look good, but rusted almost immediately. I do not recommend buying them unless you want your posts to send orange rust down your brand new rims.. I took them off in less than two months and ordered the thin wall acorns.

These lug nuts look great, and the special socket is a lot higher quality and more heavy duty than other locking lug tools I've had! I did have one issue though that I don't know was the actually the lug not, or maybe I had a bad stud on my car, but I put these on by hand, no power tools, and torqued them to 100 ft. lbs. I went to remove the wheels to install a camber/caster plate set I purchased, and one of the lug nuts cross threaded as it came off. I had to replace the stud, and now that nut is no longer usable, and they're only a couple weeks old. Other than that, they're great quality, and the chrome finish looks great!

Watch for rust, overall great however

I like knowing that my vehicle's DD chrome Bullits are safe, however rust builds up inside of the lugs and frequently falls onto the chrome lip of the rim and it looks terrible. I am still attempting to figure out how to clean the rust out, no such luck yet
