according to the tool at top of page, this camshaft will not fit my 1994 Cobra. Is this because it has 1.7 Roller Rocker Arms? If so can I install 1.6’s while doing my top end build and use this cam? Thanks in advance, Zach

    • The Comp Cams Stage 1 Xtreme Energy XE264HR Camshaft will be compatible with your 1994 Cobra, though due to production tolerances, piston to valve clearance should be checked when installing any cam. This cam is designed for 1.6 roller rockers and would work better with 1.6 rockers compared to 1.7 rockers.

what other parts a required for this cam? lifters, springs, etc...

    • When replacing the Comp Cams Stage 1 Xtreme Energy XE264HR Camshaft, we recommend replacing the valve springs, retainers, and valve locks, due to the age and possible wear on the existing components.

Installed on a 90 5.0 would this be a good choice with oem heads T Moss ported oem lower 1 5/8 shorty headers 75mm pro-m mass air 65mm throttle body 65mm egr spacer 19lb injectors what hp and torque gain can be expected

    • The Comp Cams Stage 1 Xtreme Energy XE264HR Camshaft will work well with your setup. This cam is designed to work best in the 1500rpm-5500rpm range, which is right where your heads and intake will make the best power. This will also allow you to keep a more streetable setup, as opposed to more aggressive cams which may make street driving more difficult with your setup.

      Nice sound

Good pull after 1800 nice sound make sure you change springs to prevent coil bind use tfs2500100. Kit comes with all you need to do over heads can be done on eng but might as well pull heads fresh gaskets and inspect cylinders for wear
