      Review & Installation Video

If you're looking for a tire that will basically redefine what an ultra high performance all-season tire should be then look no further than the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 All-Season. Now at the moment this bad boy is only available in a 19-inch diameter making it a perfect replacement for the Pirelli P ZEROs on your S197 or even your S550. You're also looking at only two section with option, that is a 255 and a 275. So because of that you're not gonna be looking at a huge swing in pricing here, instead about just north of 200 bucks for both options. So again, I come back to the fact that if you have an S197 or you have an S550 and you've been a little disappointed with the stock Pirelli P ZEROs, the DWS06 here is certainly going to be a nice replacement option. Not only will the Continental offer great grip in dry conditions but the DWS which does stand for dry, wet, and snow will also get you through some wintery conditions much better to boot.Let's dive right in with the unique tread pattern present here on the Continental tire, and right off the bat I can tell you this thing does feature an asymmetrical pattern, meaning it can be rotated in the traditional sense. Also as one would imagine with an all-season like this, the compound does feature a nice amount of silica baked-in in addition to saline additives which according to Continental will help with the wet weather grip, but in addition to prolonging the treadwear here with this particular tire. And speaking of that treadwear number you're gonna be looking at 560 here to be exact which is pretty average in the category, but this thing does also receive a double A for traction and a single A for temperature, both the highest available in the UTQG ratings. Let's breakdown that really unique tread pattern a little bit further and I would say at first glance, guys, your eye is immediately drawn to that center section here with the Continental tire and more specifically, the independent tread blocks with their high angle x-sipes. Now, basically, that just refers to the crisscross pattern you see running the circumference of that entire center rib. And basically guys, this is go be vital in helping this thing achieve that grip in snowy or slushy conditions during those fall and winter months in addition to those little tiny teeth built within those groves working their way around the entire tire. Now, the outer and inner shoulders here are gonna be a little bit more traditional by design and do feature those larger blocks on the shoulder, that's gonna help provide you with some steering response and corner instability, while the innermost blocks over here do feature a little bit more siping to help you with that wet traction, dispersing water, of course, and helping to prevent any possible hydroplaning situations. Now, one thing that I do think is pretty cool here about the DWS, it's a smaller thing in the bigger picture but still very much useful, is these three little letters built into the tread blocks themselves, DWS. Now, basically when that S is no longer visible that means this tire will no longer have the snow capabilities it possessed when it was brand new. After that S is gone, will next be the W and once that wears away it means this tire isn't gonna be nearly as capable in wet situations and so on. So again, a bit of a twist on the traditional treadwear indicators and it does make it pretty clear for owners of this tire when it comes time to replace for upgrade. As always, gang, don't forget to read up on some of the customer reviews back on the product page at if you haven't already done so, it's a great way to get some real world feedback on Mustang owners who are actually putting in the miles with the Continental and will give you their honest impressions of the DWS. Also keep in mind that we do offer this tire with a number of your favorite wheel options here on the site in addition to free mounting and balancing, optional TPMS install, optional nitrogen fill, and last but not least, of course, free shipping and handling to your front door.So in closing, if you're looking for an all-season replacement for those factory Pirelli P ZEROs, the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 would be a great option and you can grab your set right here at

Superb Tire - Excels All Around

This is the second set of Conti DWS that I’ve had. First set were on my Corvette and they were fantastic at max grip and all weather traction. I don’t limit myself to dry weather driving and these give plenty of confidence in all reasonable conditions. I much prefer the DWS on my Mustang over the original Pirellis. They grip very well in wet weather and loose backroad surfaces. Tread wear is exceptional compared to the stock tires.

        DWS 06 Tires Year-Round

I ran the Continental DWS06 tires on the ‘97 and the ‘96 Cobra. We get moderate winter weather here. They are unstoppable in the Unstoppable in snow and a very safe rain tire, fantastic traction when accelerating or braking. You can push them to the limit in the summertime heat, no problem. ANY rear wheel or front wheel drive vehicles exposed to snow have them installed. Without AWD or 4WD cars need the advantage of the DES06 tires to commute comfortably

        4 2020 GT - DeepBlue

        Good for what they are.

I took delivery of my 2020 Mustang GT PP2 in Oct. I wanted to be able to drive it at least a few weeks prior to putting it away for the winter and the Cup 2 tires are useless below 50 degrees. I bought these as a set with new rims. I would have liked to have had more size options with the combo, but it was what it was. In colder weather they work well and in the small amount of wet driving I have done they hold the road as long as you don't get on it. I will probably go with these again, but larger sizes when they wear out.

        Great All Season Tire

The perfect tire for someone looking for excellent wet/dry grip while also being "cold weather friendly." Quiet and smooth on all types of roads - even for 19 in. From past experience on other vehicles, these also perform excellent in the snow and wear well even after tens of thousands of miles.

        Awesome Tires

I chose this tire based on its good value, overall performance and winter capabilities. It was ranked the best in snow traction in its class. It did not disappoint. I have driven in snow, ice, rain and dry. Very impressive tire indeed. Also it is a very attractive attribute to my car’s appearance.

I currently have the stock Pirelli's 255/40/19 on my s550, but I've dropped the car with the Eibach Sportline kit, so the car sits pretty low. If I go with the 255's on this set I know I'll be okay, but would I have any issues going with the 275's? Pretty sure the front will be OK, but what about the rear- when I look at it it's pretty close in terms of the height of the quarter panel and the height of the wheel. And what if I have the 1inch wheel spacers? Do you think that's just overkill and the wheel will stick out too much?

      • 275's should fit, however depending on your wheel offset, you may experience rubbing, especially in the front during turns.

I presently have a clearance problem with getting my 2018 GT PP1 into my garage because of the incline/floor angle. Unless I keep a pound or two over recommended PSI, a single bolt that is just behind the front wheels (pointing down) will scrape on the corner-edge. (better that than anything else) My car has the staggered wheel-tire sizes. So considering all season tires- which I'd love to have- is a scary thought. Should these Continentals not stand as tall (or taller than the stock Michelin Pilots) mounted, I'd be out over a thousand bucks. I hope this made sense, and I guess my question is; will I lose "ride height" with these? Does any stock S550 PP1 owner have these mounted? What is the overall tire height of the back ones? Thanks!

      • The ride height entirely depends on what sidewall you go with. If you are looking to make sure you doing lose clearance, you would have to make sure that the side wall isn't any smaller on your new tire as they are on your current tires.

Do these tires lean more toward being soft or being hard? I know it's not a summer tire, but if I were to launch from a line, would I be spinning the wheels endlessly or are they soft enough to grip relatively well (in warmer weather)

      • The Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 High Performance All Season Tire will have a 560 AA A UTQG Rating, (Tread wear 560, Traction AA, Temperature A) so for an all season tire, these will have good grip, however they will not be on par with most dedicated summer performance tires.

If I order the tires through you does it also come with the warranty that continental gives in this tire?

      • The Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 High Performance All Season Tire will carry the OEM Continental warranty.

Hi will you be getting other sizes like 265/35R20?

      • At the current time, we are only able to carry the 255/40-19 and the 275/40-19 however stay tuned as we may be able to add different sizes later on!
