- How to Install a BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia on Your 2010-2012 Mustang GT
Hey, guys, Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com here with the Ford Racing Boss Style Lower Front Fascia for 2010-2012 GT Mustangs. The Ford Racing Boss Style Lower Front Fascia is a step further than a front splitter or a spoiler as far as a change in looks. So it's gonna be for someone that's looking to change things up a little and spend a little bit of time giving their GT a facelift. This is a genuine Ford part, so it's the OEM lower front fascia that comes from the factory on the Boss and the California Special Mustangs. So, it's not like this fascia totally breaks the mold, but it is going to change the looks of the front end in a pretty big way. This is gonna replace the lower grill and the painted portion of the lower fascia of the stock GT, and give it what I call a more solid, square look that's a good deal more aggressive than the factory product fascia is. One thing that I did wanna point out here is that this is just the lower front fascia. It doesn't come with the Boss Front Splitter, although you can complete the look and add the Boss Splitter very easily to this lower front fascia.Another thing to mention here is that this fascia since it is the OEM part, does have a 2-3 inch opening for the brake duct cooling kit. You would need to pick up the Blow Fish Racing Brake Duct Cooling Kit to actually make this feature functional, and it's only going to work if you have a 2011-2012 with the factory 14 inch Brembo package. But add-ons and additional features aside, this is made from the same OEM-quality high-pressure injection molded thermal plastic, so it's gonna have that OEM grainy texture to it. A lot of exterior modifications are made from this material, or very similar materials because it's very durable and long lasting, especially for things like chin spoilers, rear balances, and splitters because this material can take the abuse of street driving and still hold up.As far as price, you're looking at spending just under $250 for the Lower Front Fascia, which considering this is an OEM upgrade, isn't a bad price. Ford Racing does offer this fascia with the fog lights. This one does not have the fog lights, but you're looking at spending about $100 more for that one. A lot of guys just leave the fog lights out, but that's gonna be completely up to you. If you're interested in the front splitter, that costs just over $150, and the brake duct cooling kit that I mentioned costs a little under $200.Next is the install. Now, this one's gonna take about three hours, but it's not really difficult. I'm gonna call it a one-out-of-three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You will need a handful of different tools, but nothing out of the ordinary, just a ratchet and a couple of different sockets, a Phillips head, and maybe some needle nose pliers. You can remove the lower front fascia. It's just a few push tabs. The new fascia comes with some metal tabs, and to get the new fascia installed, you line up the black plastic tabs with the slots in the bumper, and then just push the fascia onto the bumper cover. The fascia will click into place as long as everything's lined up, and then the metal clips will secure everything. Wrapping things up here, the Ford Racing Boss Style Lower Front Fascia is an OEM part that's made from a durable material and has a grainy, factory-like finish. It's easy to install, and it will give you the look of the Boss in a California Special Mustang. You can check it out more online right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Bought this so that I could attach the splitter that I had bought. The splitter made it more complicated to put on, but putting it on alone might have taken 30 minutes. Fits snug, and looks good.Helpful (0)

Great quality, great fit
Hardest part is getting the bumper off! Two screws and two pushers then just removing the clips that hold the old fascia in place. New one snapped right on and fit perfect. I also got the splitter, not sure how it is on other years but for 2010 I had to drill all the holes to attach the splitter onto the new fascia. Just to keep in mind.Helpful (1)

Item fit great, although i wish it came with hardware. I've ordered multiple exterior parts from AM and none came with hardware. But the fitment is always great.Helpful (2)
Will this fit my 2010 v6? Saw a couple 2011 v6 photos with it on.
This is not designed to work for a V6 as it is designed specifically for 10-12 GTs. Any V6 with this would have had to have made modifications to make this work.
Which fog lights can I buy to go with this? Just received it today and wish I would've pushed the extra buck to get the ones with the fog lights but I'm sure someone else here has made the same choice. Can someone point me towards the fog lights for this?
You need Boss 302/California Special fog lights. Item number 383846
Why will this not work on the 2010 v6 ? What is preventing it to work considering the 10-12 v6 and 10-12 gt are the same front ends ?
There were some differences in the 10-12 v6 and 10-12 gt that will not allow the Ford BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia to work on the V6 models. You need the GT grill surround and front bumper cover to install the Ford BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia on your V6.
Where can I find the highlight assembly shown in the preview images?
Unfortunately, we no longer carry the headlight assemblies that are pictured with this Boss/CS style lower fascia. However, we do have the smoked version here: https://www.americanmuscle.com/headlight-smoked-projector-1012-hid.html.
Will this Fascia be in stock again? or is AM no longer selling this?
Yes, we will be stocking this fascia. As of this moment, we do have some in stock.
This is not designed to work for a V6 as it is designed specifically for 10-12 GTs. For your 2012 V6 this would have to have custom modifications to make this work.
The Ford BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia will replace the lower grille.
Yes, the Ford BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia will require that you remove the front bumper to complete the install. I would recommend checking out the install guide if you're curious of what all is required for the install: https://www.americanmuscle.com/cs-boss-lower-fascia-gt-manu-install.html.
The Ford BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia will reuse the OEM hardware, so as long as all stock hardware is currently installed in the bumper, no additional components will be required.
The Ford part number for the Ford BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia is BR3Z-17626-AB
This is a genuine Ford OEM part so this will indeed be a true replacement.
Hello Riley, Unfortunately this will only be for the GT models and would not fit your premium v6.
Buy it with the lights, yours wont work, its only $100 more and they were made to fit that part. They also come with 2 quick connect wire harnesses that make it a clean, durable install. I have 2 2011' GT's with this chin spoiler on both. I do recommend getting a set of LED bulbs ($12 on amazon) with a 6000K light signature so they are bright white, they use low power consumption, last longer, and most importantly are way brighter. If your keeping the grille lights just splice the harness on each side to the correct grill foglight plug/wire. I went with a HID kit ,35 watt bulbs, 6000K, in my grille because the stock ones just are yellowish (4000K) and not bright. Also did LED/HID kit headlights in the same wattage (35w) so not to melt your lights, and 6000k. The foglights alone (4 w/ the grille and chin spoiler, on one switch) are bright white and wont blow fuses because of the low draw LED bulbs down bottom. To each his own. Hope this helps good luck. Check AM, Ebay and Amazon for low prices. Bulb type is a H11 or a H9 works to I think? Make sure you match the light signatures or it will look funny, meaning the 6000K, any higher gets bluish like a Benz or BMW going up the highway.
