    Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and I have with me DBA’s T2 street series slotted rotors fitting all 94 and newer Mustangs. Disk Brake Australia or DBA, as you might have guessed is an Australian based company that specializes in manufacturing a wide variety of brake rotors, a lot of which are of the high performance variety. At first glance, you can see the T2 rotors feature this unique curved slotted design, which is a little different to traditional slotted rotors which typically feature a series of straight lines. DBA says this is going to help the pad bite down initially, and reduce vibration, making for stronger, smoother braking. They also say it’s going to help even out pad wear, and reduce glazing on the rotor surface. Besides the functional benefits of that slotted design, you really can’t deny that these rotors are going to look awesome behind a set of open faced wheels, like our Saleens here. There’s just something about a set of drilled or slotted rotors, that adds that look of performance to the car. Rounding out the appearance side of things, the T2’s have also been coated with this matte black here, just to reduce any corrosion or rust. The T2’s also feature DBA’s patented kangaroo cooling system, this refers to the ventilation present between the two friction surfaces, basically if you were to remove the front of the rotor here, you’d see a number of diamond shaped pillars, as opposed to the traditional straight vein or straight line design. This design adds about 60% more surface area to dissipate heat better, greatly reducing brake fade in high heat applications, such as repetitive high speed stops typically found on a race track. Even though DBA refers to the T2’s as their street series, I personally wouldn’t hesitate to throw them on a street car that does see a significant amount of track time, for the reasons I just mentioned. Even though these rotors will increase your braking performance, ultimately investing in a quality pad and fluid will be your best bet in reducing brake fade while on the track. Installing a new set of brake rotors on your late model Mustang is probably one of those things that sound a lot harder than it actually is, the reality is, once you have the wheels off, removing the old rotors and putting the new ones on is just a couple of bolts, so when it’s all said and done, just leave yourself a couple of hours to get everything bolted up. Oftentimes people focus on the performance side of things without giving much thought to their braking capabilities which can get you into trouble real quick.     Reduces Noise. The unique bi-symmetrical design of the DBA T2 Street Series Slotted Rotor dampens vibration harmonics (noise), resulting in a quieter, smoother, and more responsive brake pedal feel.

    Non-directional. The T2 Street Series Brake Rotor features a non-directional slotted design that eliminates the need for left and right discs, making installation simple and straight forward.

    Kangaroo Paw Design. DBA's patented "Kangaroo Paw" ventilation design, runs cooler, stronger, and outperforms traditional straight vane vented disc rotors by up to 20%.

    Application. This pair of DBA T2 Street Series Slotted Brake Rotors are specifically designed to fit the front of the 2005-2010 GT and Bullitt Mustangs, as well as the 2011-2014 V6, does not fit Shelby GT500 models.
