I'm just learning about gauges, so I don't know much about boost/vac. Is a boost/vac gauge only used with forced induction engines? I have an N/A engine, but was told it will still measure the vacuum. Is that right?

    • The Dual Color Digital 35 PSI Boost/Vac Gauge will read vacuum sweeping to the left, but will not read boost since a naturally aspirated engine will not produce boost.

Do I need to order a gauge pod if I'm installing it in the vent? Are dial boost gauges more accurate than digital?

    • In order to install the Dual Color Digital Boost/Vac Gauge in a vent, you will need a vent gauge pod, such as the Roush Vent Gauge Pod. For boost gauge, accuracy between a mechanical/dial style gauge vs a digital gauge using an electronic sender will be minimal. A mechanical;/dial gauge will be slightly more accurate, though the difference is minimal. An Electronic gauge like this however, will make it easier to see the exact boost PSI, so it really comes down to preference.

I have an analog boost gauge already, I hate it. I want a digital one, so will this be as simple as switching the wiring from the analog to this digital one? Thanks

    • The Dual Color Digital Boost/Vac Gauge is a very simple install like the Analog Gauge. You should be able to just hook up this Gauge to the existing wiring from your old Gauge.

I have everything hooked up I have power but all it's registering us three lines instead of numbers. When I go wide-open throttle it registers in the negative numbers and then goes back to the three lines. What do you think can be causing this

      Looks great. Not Bright enough

Looks great. But not bright enough even on full brightness during the day. Can barely see it.

      Boost Gauge

This is a very feature for you forced induction Mustangs. However, the install time are not has easy as some say. Installing the gauge in to the Roush vent pod is the easiest. The wiring is more time consuming. If you have a Whipple use the vacuum port on the pass side rear intake runner. There is a plug there you can remove and then install a 1/8" machine thread vacuum port with a 7/32 barb port if you can find one. I used a 1/4" barbed port. Mount the amplifier near the fire wall pass side. The main wiring harness can be accessed under the left wheel liner. Wiring the gauge inside the car is tricky. I mounted my Guage in the left duct. I had to run the acc. wire to the fuse box, pass side kick panel. Use a add a circuit fuse in there. Not sure which fuse it was but, it was a 7.5 amp. Accessory fuse Once it was hooked up, it worked great and really accurate. But on the day time it's harder to see, if your wearing polarized sun glasses, forget it. And yes I turned it all the way up to the brightest setting. Worth the money yes! At night the Blue light looks awesome.

      Easy to install!

This product was relatively easy to install. I'm not a wiring guru, but I jumped in on it on my own and made a wiring harness to put power to the gauge and the sending unit from a single source, and single ground. I used an "add-a-circuit" in the passenger side foot well fuse panel of my 2014 Mustang to supply power, and I mounted the gauge in a Roush vent pod. It looks great and went together easy! After a friend came over to look at my homemade wiring harness and confirm that it was good, we installed everything in about an hour. It took about two hours total if you include the time to make the harness (soldering wires and heat shrinking them). I can't wait to get my SC installed and to put boost on this thing! :D

      Review on my gauge

I bought this for my boyfriends 99 mustang gt and the expected shipping was about a week and it came with in 2 days! His gauge is just as nice as we hoped it would be. I definitely recommend this site for ordering any parts for mustangs

      Decent gauge

Not a bad little gauge. Seems to be fairly accurate and comes with a small too to adjust the brightness as well as adapt for altitude.

      Vacuum Gauge

Really wasn't that difficult installing. It takes alot more time running wires around everything so looks professional.

Incredible look pics online do not do it justice

The looks of the product is superb I have a base model 2012 GT and this really adds to the look of the car interior. The electrical install was not difficult at all it was pretty straight forward if you follow the provided instructions. You will need to add your own wires to extend the ones which came with it are short. Mechanical connecting to master cylinder vac line. It over all is a great product especially for cosmetics upgrade well worth the money.

      Nice looking boost gauge

The font doesn't match my stock gauges but the color is close enough. The gauge was a SUPER tight fit in my SOS gauge pod. But another gauge was too loose so I think its the pod. The leads on the boost gauge and the boost sender were way too short so it wasn't exactly plug and play. You can even see it OK in sunlight and (barely) in polarized sunglasses. Cant say the same for my Aeroforce Interceptors.
