    Run Cooler. The factory water pump just can't keep a modified mustangs temperatures from rising, so prevent overheating in your street stang with a Short-Style Ford 4.6L Water Pump from Edelbrock.

    Superior Design. The Edelbrock computer-designed Short-Style 4.6L Water Pump has a 3.80" precision cast impeller, and a larger than stock 3/4" bearing. The distance from the block surface to hub measure 2.58".

    Fitment. This Edelbrock Short-Style Water Pump is designed to fit the 2002-2004 GT, SVT Cobra, and Mach 1 Mustangs equipped with the 4.6L V8. Requires new water pump gasket for installation.

    Technical Note. 2002 Mustangs will need to be measured to determine if a long-style or short-style water pump is required.

        What is the actual flow rate of this water pump?

        • The Edelbrock High Flow Performance Victor Series Water Pump has different flow ratings at different RPMs. Between idle and 1,000 RPM, it will flow 10 gallons per minute. It will flow 46 gallons per minute at 6000 RPM.

        I have a stock 02 GT 152,000 miles with minor bolt ons and want to replace the water pump. I live in indiana and it can gt in the negatives one day and the 90s another. My question is will this keep my car to cool and what would be a good operating temp? Mine stays around 192 degrees give or take in the summer.

        • The thermostat controls the temperature of the car more accurately than the EDELBROCK HIGH FLOW WATER PUMP, this pump will only move the water through the engine at higher volumes and velocity.

        will this work I have a late 01 model gt with the short pump. will this work with my mustang even though the description says 02-04?

        • Yes as long as your waterpump is the short style this will work.

            Great looking pump, no issues yet

            I installed the pump a few weeks ago and have had no issues. It also seems to help keep my engine running a few degrees cooler than the tired old pump. Thanks AM!

            Perfect

            Arivied on time and as expected. This is a very well build and high quality water pump and I really noticed a few degrees cooler. Needed to fix a leaking on on my mustang and instead of going OEM I decided to spend a few extra. Glad I did. About 1hr 45min install.

            Water pump

            If ur vehicle is over heating cause of your water pump try this one it cycles the water well an keeps ur engine cool. Plus get the thermostat with it.

            Cooling problems a thing of the past

            Ebelbrock's water pump is built with quality and excellence it's has my 03 Cobra running cooler than it even has along with same other cooling mods it's really makes a big difference in performance and temperature control.

            Good Product to cool down....

            After several high performance products, while installing news heads with Comp Cams stage 3, along with a new Mishimoto Performance Radiator and Fan. That's when I decide to swap the water pump as well with this product, which all together really help cooling down my Stang. I can't complain, good fit, good product, plus looks nice...

            Perfect factory replacement and upgrade

            The Edelbrock high flow water pump helped to resolve my heating problems on my '04 Cobra. It is an excellent upgrade to my original factory version. I highly recommend it.

            Awesome waterpump

            This waterpump is amazing installed it on my 03 mustang cobra and the temps def go down and it takes a lot longer to warm up especially with e85 :) Good product would recommend to anyone trying to get all the cooling mods possible.

            great product, (03 Mach 1)

            eps my car cooler than before and the is a better flow of coolent I don't really feel a boost in performance, but overall did the job and made my car stop over heating.
