    Improve ET's and low end torque. Are you looking to get more low end grunt off the line and lower ET's at the same time? Then look no further than installing a set of steeper gears in your Pony. Ford Racing Ring and Pinion Gears are perfect for street, road, or race use.

    Superior Quality. These Ford Racing 3.55 Mustang ring and pinion gears feature a super strong forged construction, CNC cut & lapped gear teeth, and a black oxide finish to resist corrosion.

    Application. This Ford Racing Ring and Pinion Gear set will fit 11-14 Mustang GTs and 11-12 Shelby GT500s. A master bearing kit is recommended by most installers, especially on high mileage vehicles, see drop down option above.

    Attention 2010 and newer Mustang Owners. Starting in 2010 Ford changed the inner rear gear pinion bearing in all 8.8" equipped Mustangs. Because of this you will require a new 8.8" rear gear pinion bearing (Ford part# 9L3Z-4630-A) for proper installation, please see drop down option above.

    Technical Note. Installation costs will vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Be sure to work with a reliable shop that you trust for installations. You can also save money on your installation labor by having your Trac-Lok rebuilt at the same time as your gears are installed, see drop down option above.

    My local shop swapped out my 3:15 stock gears for FP 3:55 gears. 1st 2 times they cracked shims, the 3rd time there was a very noticeable noise/ drone from the rear end. They've ordered a new set saying what they received was defective. What could be the problem?

      MUST HAVE CORRECT BEARING FOR 2010 MUSTANG

      great gear just remember if u have to replace the old pinion bearing u must get the correct one..all the local sores will sell u the wrong bearing because they dont show the correct one on the site..u must go to ford or here which is what i did and purchase the correct one for 2010 and newer mustang if this is what you are working on

      355 Gears over stock 331 6 speed manual 2014 5.0

      3.55 Ford Racing gears were a great overall upgrade on my 14 gt over the factory 331 gears. They improved the torque some, lowered the power band range where it starts pulling harder sooner. Not a huge drastic gain like 373 probably would have been, however I didn't want too much torque off the line and plan on doing forced induction future upgrade which then I would have required to drop to a taller gear again. Overall a nice upgrade for a bolt ons car without sacrificing your 1st gear like with getting too low of gear set on a manual.

      Definite upgrade from 3.15

      It is not a huge diference but noticeable. The tires did not break loose that much from adead stop before. Now they do qute easily which in some cases is fun but it does slow you down. So now bigger tires and new LCA's are needed.

      355 GEARS FORD RACING

      A nice upgrade to your Mustang . You will feel the difference from the stock gears. The 355 is in my 2010 GT now and they will soon be installed on my 2014 5.0. Nice bang for the buck mod.
