        Required for Camshaft Swap. If your swapping out the stock cams in your 3V 4.6L modular engine for something a bit more aggressive, you'll need to also grab a set of new Cam Phaser Bolts. This is because Ford uses "torque-to-yield" style bolts. This means that once they have been used and removed, they are no longer useable and should be thrown away.

        Ford Racing Quality. Made from high quality materials, these Ford Racing 3V Cam Phaser Bolts will offer a perfect, secure fit to complete your camshaft swap. These torque-to-yield bolts are designed to be tightened to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) and then tightened an additional 90 degrees.

        Application. These Ford Racing Cam Phaser Bolts are specifically designed for use on 2005-2010 GT and Bullitt Mustangs that are equipped with the 4.6L 3V engine when installing new cams. Sold as a pair.

        Technical Note. These bolts are not designed to be reused. One-time use only.

        Are these pretty much the same as the OE ones I bought OE ones from ford to go with my hotrod cams

        • These would be an upgrade from the stock OE Motorcraft cam phaser bolts but both the OE bolts and these would be compatible with the Ford Hot Rod Cams.

        • You will only need one set of the Ford Performance 3V Cam Phaser Bolts (05-10 GT). The Cam Phaser Bolts simply hold down the cam gear to the front of the cam snout.

          They work (and are required for new Camshafts)

          They are bolts, so not really much to say other than they hold the new Camshafts we got in place. They are required when switching out your Camshafts. Just note that the bolts ship separately from the shafts, and for some reason they took 2 weeks longer to be delivered. Keep that in mind when planning/scheduling installation.

          Cam phaser bolts.

          Works great, YOU HAVE TO BUY THESE WHEN DOING ANYTHING RELATING TO TAKING CAM PHASER BOLT OUT, YOU CANNOT REUSE THIS BOLT IT IS A TTY! When you use these bolts torque to 30ft pounds and then 90 degrees turn. Highly recommend. No problems yet.

          Horrible !!!

          Bought these thinking they were going to be top quality but i was wrong. Installed bolts to 30 ft lb of torque then an additional 90 degree and put everything back together started the engine and 20 seconds later the bolt broke in half cost me alot of money thanks !!!
