    Ask a Question

The fan speed for my AC/Heat will only work on the lowest and highest speed in my 04 Mustang GT. My thoughts are the resistor is bad, would replacing it fix my issue?

    Cremer67

    • The issues you describe could be a wiring issue, a blower motor resistor, or the fan speed switch. The OPR Blower Motor Resistor will fix this if a faulty blower motor resistor is the cause.

My ac idles very badly when I turn it on, it even shuts off the car completely. Can anyone help please.

    JoseM

    • A number of issues could cause your car to behave this way. We recommend a qualified shop diagnose the issue, as it seems that your car is unable to idle when the added demand of A/C is commanded on. This could be the result of a number of a number of concerns, however without proper diagnosis there is no way to tell.

HVAC Resistor Hi my mustang 02 gt has 2 pro long connectors and yours has 4.

    RV1977

    • This resistor pack is for the blower motor to regulate the speed of the fan/blower, not the hvac. Sounds like you may have the two confused?

      Resistor or No Resister

Well the blower control had two speeds low or high, I did a little reading and found out that it was most likely the Blower Resister as is sets the other speeds. Putting in was simple as there was no resistor at all. So needless to say this on works great LOL

      Perfect Fix

The A/C would only blow out air on the highest level and once I popped this bad boy in, it worked perfectly. Install was very simple. Highly recommended.

      Convenient Replacement Part

These blower motor resisters are known to fail from the factory. When they fail, the blower motor will only work at the maximum setting. This piece simply unplugs from underneath the passenger dash and is replaced with the new resister. The parts quality from AM is solid for sure. It's particularly nice to order it from AM because of their fast shipping and zero hassle.
