How to Install JLT V3.0 Black Oil Separator - Driver Side (11-17 GT; 12-13 BOSS 302; 15-17 GT350) on your Ford Mustang

1. Verify you have all of the following parts included in the kit: (1) JLT Oil Separator, (1) Angled mounting bracket, (2) fine thread machine screws, (1) Black mounting clamp, (1) 1/4- 20x 1/2" bolt, (2) 1/4-20 nuts (1 extra incase you drop one)

2. Gather all of the following tools needed for the installation: Phillips screw driver, 10mm socket and wrench

3. Remove factory PCV line by pulling tabs and pulling it off of the engine and intake system.

4. Use supplied bolt and nut to mount JLT Bracket to pre-existing hole on fender apron tab.

5. Mount Oil Separator to JLT Bracket with the two supplied machine screws. The longer hose will be closest to the valve cover. Route short hose to valve cover and route long hose to the intake tube.

6. 2011-14 MOUNTING

You have 2 options for mounting the Separator.
For both the sound tube rubber mount will need to be removed from the tab.

1) Using the included black mounting clamp, install on the BACK side of the tab on the driver side strut tower. Bolt will be on the bottom. Hold it tight and flat against the tab and tighten the bolt.

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, JUST SNUG SO IT DOESN'T MOVE.

Use the supplied 1/4-20x1/2" bolt and attach JLT Bracket to the black mounting clamp using the smaller hole as shown below:

2) You can drill 1/4" hole and use the supplied nut and bolt to mount the JLT bracket to the tab.

Now go back and follow from STEP 5

To properly clean the filter in the Oil Separator, remove it and spray any degreaser or solvent through it and let it air dry. Clean it every 10,000 miles. Thanks for the business.
