Improve Traction. If you're not "hooking up" off the line then a set of J&M Weight Jacker Rear Lower Control Arms are the answer to your problem. These lower control arms will eliminate wheel hop, and improve traction keeping your Mustang's rear end planted for straight-line traction and cornering performance.

Height Adjustable. J&M Weight Jacker Rear Lower Control Arms allow the driver to adjust the rear ride height for perfect launches every time. Lower your Mustang 1" or raise it by 2" by using a NASCAR style weight jack system.

Superior Construction. J&M's lower control arms are manufactured from high strength 2" round steel tubing, making them lighter, stronger, and more resilient to bending than the competitors rectangular or square tubed control arms.

Bind-free Design. These control arms feature a Patent Pending 3-piece Poly-Ball bushing on the chassis side that incorporates a very hard inner polyurethane ball surrounded by two soft polyurethane outer cups. The axle side features a Chromoly Teflon lined spherical bearing that eliminates any unwanted bushing bind and deflection. The result is great traction during straight-line acceleration and predictable grip during hard cornering.

Application. These J&M Weight Jacker Rear Lower Control Arms are designed for street or race use on all 1979 to 1998 Mustangs, including the LX, V6, GT, and SVT Cobra models. Sold as a set of two control arms.

    Well built, nice product

I am running a 3-link torque arm and panhard bar rear suspension in my '84 GT. I wanted some LCAs that allowed maximum articulation and minimum bind. The spherical bearings on the axle end and the 3 piece polys on the chassis side do a great job of eliminating any bind potential while providing a very solid method of locating the axle. With conventional rubber bushings, there's a lot of slop and deflection. With hard poly bushings, there's a lot of bind. This is the best way to solve both issues. The metal sphericals on the axle side and the stiff polys WILL unavoidably transmit more road and axle noise to the chassis than a stock setup, but it's worth the performance increase on a corner carver. I haven't swapped to coilovers on the rear yet, so the jack-screw design was necessary to match my coilover adjustability on the front of the car. Everything else on my suspension is Maximum Motorsports, but I bought these based on a recommendation of them being comparable to the MM arms. I don't regret the purchase at all.

    J&M makes a quality product!

I installed both the J&M weight jacker rear lower control arms and upper control arms. The install went smoothly and the lower control arms gave me the adjustment needed to give my car the stance I was looking for. At the track my 60ft times decreased from an average of 2.35 to 1.9, which makes a huge difference in the 1/4 mile. I would definitely recommend to others as it works great at the track and does not effect drivability on the street.

    New J&M Control Arms

Great product , the welds were perfect , the install was easy took about 3.5 hours with hand tools. I recomend when greasing the bushings , go light on the grease because when pushing the bushings on the air gets trapped in the housing and bushing pushes out ( again great welds and finish ) love the way you can simply adjust the spring perch anytime. I would recomend these to any fox owner that wants a straight even launch at the track. Thank American Muscle !!!!

    Great Product

After waiting for the back order i finally got my control arms. Install was less than hour. The welds look like they have strength and quality in mind. Unlike cheaper knock offs or sub par copies. Can't wait to see how they perform at the track. As for stance having the adjustability is a huge plus. I recommended these to a friend who has purchased these and is awaiting arrival.

ride height is easy to adjust.

after installation, car seems to hook a little better and launches straight Only downfall is a little noise from spherical bearing on rear side of control arm.

    Get Hole Shot

Replace those week factory control arms with these heavy duty pieces. They are solid and super rigid. Plenty of traction with these parts off the line and much improved cornering capability. Get some adjustable uppers to dial in lowered cars and tie it all together with an upper strut brace.
