I bought this expensive because the paper ones don't belong on a Mustang. Their pretty bad. They are flimsy, warp, and can't get wet. This K&N filter is durable and so much better for air flow.
I did a simple modification to make this filter worth my while. If your still using the stock air box intake, you're not getting enough air flow. Easy fix is to remove the rubber silencer inside the wheel well that attaches to the inside of the air box. You won't see it just by looking. Remove the air box itself from the engine bay, and see the 7in rubber looking snorkel. Just remove it, add the K&N filter and attach the air box back to the intake. It's just like using a more expensive Cold Air Intake, but this is faster, simpler, and nicer on the wallet. It only takes 30min.
