      Description

      Improves Horsepower. Now you can improve your 2008-2009 Bullitt Mustangs performance with a K&N Direct-Fit Replacement Air Filter. Simply replace your stock restrictive air filter with a new high flow K&N air filter and feel an increase in horsepower and acceleration while still providing excellent filtration.

      Filters out harmful contaminants. The K&N Air Filter filter's out harmful contaminants with it's unique layered design. K&N Air Filters are made up of layers of specially treated cotton gauze that are sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens for durability. K&N uses a specially formulated grade of oil to treat the cotton gauze layers which causes a tackiness throughout the cotton's microscopic strands creating a powerful filtering media that ensures engine protection.

      Direct Fit Replacement. K&N designed this Air filter to be a direct fit replacement for the 2008-2009 Bullitt Mustangs with the factory cold air intake.

        Had to work it into place and it kinked the filter, dont know if it doesnt work when its kinked i sure hope not

        Supercharger mod

        I supercharged my 2007 4.0V6 and air cleaner from a Bullet fit perfectly. I ordered this filter element to replace the original paper element. It not only performed great but looks cool as he'll too.

        Filter replacement

        Its a filter. Not much to be said here - it does it's job as well as it could. This filter is a little bit longer than an OEM Bullitt filter though so it will require some finagling to get into place.

        More power

        Always kandn is the best. My ford racing air filter needed to be replaced so I went for this option knowing that kandn are reusables . Installing it took just 10 min. Not 100 accurate to fit in the air box as the paper filter but i would say 99. Once it was all set the engine started breathing again, huge difference between kandn and paper filters. Highly recommend. Two tumps up.

      Will this work with with a GT too? I have a Ford Racing CAI and this filter seems to be the same size and shape I use now. From what I understand, the Ford Racing replacement filter isn't cleanable/reusable and I would really like to get one of these if it I can.

      • This filter has a height of 8.625 in., and the base diameter is 6 in. while the top diameter is 4.75 in.

      I bought the Ford Performance cold air intake with the 85 mm mass air meter housing, will this filter fit my kit for the V6 05-09?

      • This K&N Replacement Air Filter is a direct fit replacement for the stock air box. Many enthusiast have used this filter for the Ford Performance Cold Air Intake, item 50141, however, we have not tested this for fitment. https://www.americanmuscle.com/fordracing-cai-0509v6.html

      Has anyone had trouble with the rubber under the hose clamp "coming apart" in areas with hot temperatures, such as Texas or Arizona? I was popped the hood on mine to check everything out and the filter basically came off in my hand w/o me touch the hose clamp.

      • Unfortunately, this is not a common issue with these filters and could have been due to the clamp being overtightened and cutting into the filter neck.

      Inlet size? What is the inlet size of this? I have a pretty small filter and want a bigger one. The inlet size one that I have is 3.5 inches.
