    Heavy Duty. If you are upgrading your clutch to handle more power be sure to replace your wimpy stock mustang clutch fork at the same time with a Lakewood Heavy Duty Performance Clutch Fork for proven performance. Requires Lakewood Bellhousing for proper installation.

    Superior Strength.
    The Lakewood Heavy Duty Performance Clutch Fork is made of 0.165" thick stamped steel, which is much stronger than the factory fork, and is completed in a durable zinc dichromate finish which is rust resistant.

    Application. This Lakewood Heavy Duty Performance Clutch Fork is designed to fit the 1979 to 1995 5.0L V8 and the 1996 to 2004 4.6L V8 Ford Mustang with a Lakewood Bell Housing installed.

    Please Note. The Lakewood Heavy Duty Performance Clutch Fork only works with a Lakewood Bell Housing.

        What makes the clutch fork not compatible in a factory bell housing specifically a 95 T-5 bell housing? Only difference I see is that the fork is shorter, doing a T5 swap using the long tubes that was with a C4 and need a shorter fork to clear the header. Instead of cutting a normal one and machining it this fork from Lakewood seems to be more ideal? Thanks for the Tech help.

        • As Lakewood Performance engineered this specifically for use with Lakewood safety bellhousings we would be unable to guarantee fitment for this application.

        LakeWood Bell Housing?? It says in the fitment section that it only works with lakewood bellhousings.. How do i know if i have a Lakewood Bellhousing ? I have a 1998 Mustang GT with a T-45 Transmission.. Or will this work with stock bellhousing im confused.. My oem clutch fork has a little bit of wear on it due to a failing throwout bearing. And oem forks are much more expensive from what i have seen.

        • This Clutch Fork is not compatible with the stock factory bell housing. It requires an aftermarket Lakewood Bell Housing for proper install.

        How much stiffer will the clutch be? HELP?

        • The clutch was not any stiffer that I noticed, its when put in a new clutch is when you will notice the difference.

            Not OEM

            I ordered this guy by by mistake. It is much shorter than the oem part. It is meant for use with a Lakewood bellhousing

            I like the construction and ease of installation, it took me about an hour to fit and install overall a great buy.

            Amazing

            My stock fork needed changing so I chose this one. Beware it is stiffer but responds amazingly. The stock clutch fork does look a bit different but it fits perfectly. Don't forget to grease the contact points.

            Lakewood Clutch fork

            Although this in itself was not the problem, replacing it was a breeze while I had the Trans out for total clutch replacement. AM shipment was right on time and exactly as ordered GREAT job. Thanks

            Hydraulic Recommended

            This is a heavy duty light weight fork, but it's shorter than stock and makes a hard clutch. If you have an after market hydraulic clutch then this would be golden, but cable clutches beware. I have stage 2 HDX clutch with adjustable steeda cable and it's still a hard.

            Slamming gears!

            With my old Clutch fork I was nervous to slam gears but now with this lakewood clutch fork I roast tires and slam gears no prob! ideal upgrade when changing a clutch! AM always ships quick, I'm there biggest fan!

            Clutch fork

            Great quality product. It is about 1-2 inches shorter than the OEM fork so it makes the clutch really stiff though. Installation is a breeze once you have the transmission pulled!

            Clutch fork rev

            HeavyDuty for sure!

            This product does live up to its name, but i havent had the chance to use the car much since i recently have to put a new clutch kit and starter/ solenoid on it..let everyone know how it does when I get her on the road again.
