    More Horsepower And Torque. Replace those restrictive factory manifolds with a set of MAC Shorty Headers to improve your Mustangs exhaust flow and increase your horsepower and torque throughout the entire RPM band.

    High Quality Construction. Constructed from 1-5/8" mandrel bent 16 gauge steel tubing so there are no kinks to rob you of power, these MAC Performance Headers feature 2-1/2" True Fit Collectors that eliminate the need for gaskets which are prone to leak and blow out. These headers are then completed in a bright chrome finish for good looks and a durable long life.

    Application. Designed as a direct bolt on, these MAC Shorty Headers will bolt straight up in the stock location to the factory Mid-Pipe on both automatic and manual 2011 to 2014 3.7L V6 Mustangs to improve exhaust flow and sound.

        • It is generally recommended to replace the gaskets when installing new headers.

        • The MAC 1-5/8 in. Chrome Shorty Headers will not require a tune.

        If I buy these shorty headers will I still be able to use my stock cats and o2 sensors and mid pipe?

        • These MAC 1-5/8 in. Chrome Shorty Headers will be a direct bolt on installation, allowing you to utilize the stock mid-pipe, catalytic converters and o2 sensors.

        whats the main diference between this and a ceramic coated header???

        • Chrome headers change color as they heat cycle but they'll still be shiny. As for Ceramic they stay the same dullish color but retain heat keeping your engine bay cooler which is why they cost more. Both are a good buy so it's more personal preference.

            Fitment issues

            Everything the previous post said is correct. They rub bad against the steering column and have to be grind down. They leak really bad and constantly have to be re tighten. Go BBK and save time and money!

            MAC shorty headers

            Fitment issues! Don’t order... Get the BBK short tubes! Save you a lot of time and energy. I used to grinder to make clearance over steering rod and then they didn’t mount well to the mid pipe... still ran with an exhaust leak after all the work I put in on them! Struggled with these on and off for a week between work and then staying up all night trying to get these to fit lol

            Be prepared

            After installing them my steering rod was rubbing pretty bad. Had to grind them down and shift the engine over. Once that was done everything was fine and so far seems to be a great mood.

            bad install great results

            I recently purchased and installed these mac shorty's on my v6 2014. The install was a pain. The collector plate on the right side was to big and was scrapping against my steering rod. I had to grind down the side of the plate a good 1/8th maybe even a 1/4 of an inch so that when I turn it doesn't scrape the steering rod also to make up for when the engine torques over. if it wasn't for my neighbor who is also a mustang enthusiast my install could not of happened. On top of that on the other side they threaded the studs that you attach your exhaust pipe to the headers collector plate offset. so not matter what I did I couldn't force the offset stud into pipe-side plate. I ended up using a smaller bolt that would fit through and give me wiggle room to make up for the offset. if I didn't run into these problems install may have taken 3 hours max very straight forward install. even though the install was a pain the performance output was worth it. I have a tb spacer, CAI, tune and the headers gave me an instant noticeable tq gain that I have to be conscious about not to speed because It picks up so quick. I would recommend this product due to the output but be prepared for some modifications to your new modification.

            I didn't know what to think before purchasing my headers but I was very happy. It has given my mustang a much nicer purr and really turns heads. The power gained was also noticed once I got these installed. All in all extremely happy with this product.

            High Quality Headers

            I bought these after returning a set of the MAC shorty headers which I had bought on sale. The MAC headers were poorly made, welds were shoddy, interior piping was rough and the bends were not smooth at all. I returned due to a factory error with the flange, but thats another story. The BBK headers were night and day. Great quality, they look sharp, and install was far easier than with the MACs. Plus the BBKs came with new manifold gaskets. I already have a SR Throttle Body Spacer, Roush CAI and Roush Axlebacks, and this header set complimented the exhaust tone nicely, and I definitely feel more response when I put the pedal down. My downshifts used to be crackly and loud but these headers refined the tone where I still get a nice sound in the down shifts but it isn't over the top. Great product, highly recommend to anybody. Dont compromise for a lesser brand get the BBKs!!!

            These headers definitely improved the sound of my exhaust. The sound not only got deeper but also cleaner. They also look great under the hood! A lot of the rasp and pops are no longer there. There was also a bump in power as well. Not exactly sure how much but it was definitely noticeable. I chose these over bbk because of forum reviews and I am really glad I did. Totally recommend getting these shorty headers.

            Mac headers for 2012 mustang v6

            My son helped install these. The bolts were a headache. We used the Ford studs and bolts. Once done the passenger side leaked and could not stop it. It also was into the starter wires. The connector was out of round is why it leaked. Sent them back and put BBK's on. A thousand times better header set. Happy now as all is perfect. DO NOT BUY MAC HEADERS! Get BBK! American Muscle was spot on helping me. They overnighted the BBK's. Here the next day. How about THAT!!

            Sounds amazing!!!

            I constantly receive comments and shocked responses when I tell people this car is a v6. The sound is just off the charts angry!! Installed the headers in a weekend, but took the time to port match them to the heads and smooth out the internal welds. Matched with a BBK 73mm TB and Steeda CAI, Pypes Bomb deletes, SPC Adj LCA's and FRPP relocation brackets. Car hits hard and pulls dirty right through 4th on Micky Thompson Street Comps 285/35/19's. Highly recommend these headers, and the rest but nothing says 'Crazy!' Like tuned length Crome shorty's on a six!!!! Lol

            New Mac Shorty Headers info

            I purchased this new product because the way the pipes look something different of the BBK I had a lot of trouble getting the last blot in on the passenger side I had to remove the starter in order to get it I do recommend this new Mac Headers I noticed the difference in the sound my Super 40 flowmasters sound deeper and the car feels great I do feel the horse power
