Description
Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter. The Magnaflow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter is designed to replace the original catalytic converter in your vehicle with an exact fit and form. It cleans exhaust gases by converting harmful pollutants into less harmful emissions, helping to keep the check engine light off and meet federal EPA emission standards. This product is essential for maintaining compliance, vehicle efficiency, and optimal engine performance.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from high strength 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing, this converter features durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion. It includes a stainless steel spun body finished in a clean stainless texture, mandrel bent tubing that preserves the original exhaust flow geometry, and pre and post converter oxygen sensor ports. The design incorporates a flanged inlet type and uses a metallic grade substrate for effective emission control.
Installation. The direct-fit design allows for an easy installation process without cutting or welding, making it suitable for do-it-yourself enthusiasts using the proper tools. It includes (2) Torca clamps for installation; however, essential gaskets and other mounting hardware are not included and must be sourced separately.
Warranty. This catalytic converter comes backed by both an emissions warranty and a construction warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and compliance.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit Chevrolet Corvette models from 2012 to 2013 (C6 generation) and 2014 to 2019 (C7 generation) equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine.
