Description
Universal Catalytic Converter. The Magnaflow Universal Catalytic Converter; California Grade CARB Compliant; 2.25-Inch is designed to reduce harmful emissions and assist in maintaining compliance with stringent emissions regulations. It serves as a replacement catalytic converter to ensure optimal exhaust treatment and help keep the vehicle's check engine light off. This product is intended for drivers who require a CARB-compliant catalytic converter compatible with multiple vehicle applications, subject to proper verification of Executive Orders and engine family fit.
Construction and Appearance. Fabricated from high-strength 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing, this catalytic converter offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability. It features a clam-shell body with a stainless steel finish and durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds. An attached aluminized steel heat shield protects the unit from heat damage and enhances longevity.
Installation. Professional welding is required for installation since clamps, hangers, and mounting hardware are not included. The converter is designed for universal fitment with a straight inlet and angled outlet orientation to accommodate various exhaust configurations.
Warranty. This product includes a limited construction and emissions warranty valid for five years.
Application. While specifically noted to fit 1986 to 1995 5.0L Mustang models, this catalytic converter is universal and may fit other vehicles. Customers must confirm fitment by verifying the applicable CARB Executive Order, engine family, and vehicle compliance before installation.
