Description
Universal Catalytic Converter. The Magnaflow Universal Catalytic Converter; California Grade CARB Compliant; 2.25-Inch; Front/Center is designed to reduce vehicle emissions by converting harmful gases into less harmful substances. It is used in the exhaust system of a wide range of vehicles to help meet strict emissions requirements, keeping the engine running efficiently and the check engine light off.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from high strength 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing and finished in stainless steel, this catalytic converter features a clam-shell body type and a compact oval shape. It includes a durable aluminized steel heat shield and is welded using durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds to ensure longevity and resistance to corrosion.
Installation. Installation requires professional welding and is recommended in confined areas because of the compact, lightweight construction. No clamps or hangers are included, and drilling may be necessary depending on the vehicle's existing exhaust setup.
Warranty. This product is backed by a limited warranty on construction and emissions performance, ensuring quality and longevity.
Application. Fits 96-03 4.6L Mustang. Please confirm compatibility with vehicle’s Executive Order and Engine Family Number as installation is only legal if those match the converter’s CARB Executive Order.
