Installing a set of Maximum Motorsports 5-Lug Non-Hubcentric Wheel Spacers – 3/8 in. - Pair can help you keep your options open by moving your wheels outboard and solving your clearance problems.

      Heavy Duty Construction. Maximum Motorsports makes their wheel spacers specifically for Mustangs. They construct them from lightweight, yet heavy duty 6061 aluminum alloy. CNC machining ensures precision fitment, which is important in a wheel spacer. The 3/8 in. thickness optimizes the length of the factory wheel stud, which are usually long enough to accommodate spacers up to ¼ in. thick.

      Hub or Lug-Centric? Many people believe that hubcentric spacers are better than non-hubcentric, or lug-centric, spacers, because they believe the hub center helps hold the spacer on the hub. This is not true because there isn't any load on that part of the spacer. The key is having a good fitting spacer and properly tightened lugs, which marry the spacer to the wheel.

      Bolt-On Installation. Installing these wheel spacers is an easy process, however, the most important aspect is the properly tightened lugs. It is very important to measure the length of your wheel studs to make sure that you will have enough space to accommodate the wheel spacer and your wheel.
