Will these fit the Ecoboost Premium?

        • The MGP Red Caliper Covers w/ Tri-Bar Pony Logo will only fit the performance pack models and will not fir the premium models.

I have 2018 mustang with performance pack larger brakes, and I’m wondering do I need spacers? According to ford dealership they say I do? Not sure as I bought these and having trouble finding out if they are the right ones. The website said they will fit as I went through carefully to be sure. Thanks

        • There isn't exactly a formula for these. Depending on the margin of error for the Mustang, the wheel, and this cover itself there is a possibility you will and a possibility you will not. We highly suggest a test fit for this reason.

Ok, so if these only fit an eco boost WITH performance package, whatever that means, WHAT caliper covers will fit a BASE eco boost premium? Surely all caliper covers come in the same size anyway. But what else is recommended?

        • The calipers that state "15-19 Standard EcoBoost, V6" will fit with a base model Ecoboost premium. A similar version to the ones on this page,MGP Red Caliper Covers w/ Tri-Bar Pony Logo - Front & Rear, but for the base models can be found here:

            Nice touch

Easy to put on, definitely adds a touch to your wheels. Did with floor jack and jack stands. Longest time was taking wheels off and on. Lift would be an easier way to go...

            Great Look But Came Loose

These look great on the car. Unfortunately both the front and rear covers came loose and rattled. I had them installed by a professional mechanic. I like the look but the manner in which they are mounted is not good. I don't trust that they'd stay on during use, can't trust them staying on.

They look good on 2019 Ecoboost.

So I just installed these on my 2019Ecoboost. The end result is good. They look good as you can see on the pictures. I did it myself on my driveway so it wasn't very easy. Getting them on wasn't hard. I think anybody with basic tool handling knowledge can get it done. It was the adjusting and re-adjusting for clearance that made this job go from maybe a couple hours to over four. The clips that hold the covers in place have to be adjusted several times to make sure they clear the rotor. I think this could've bee designed better. If they made a bracket that went behind the caliper, i think would make this process a whole lot easier. I almost made my own bracket but i decided to give these a try once i got them on. Another concern was the clearance from the cover to the wheel, the rims. the back wheels, no problem good clearance. On the front wheels, it's very close, about a business card's thickness of clearance. So you have to make sure it's nice and secure, because if it came loose and moved just a little it would be really bad. They scratch very easily so be careful. Overall, i'm happy. I really like the contrast and how the red stands out. Just what i wanted.

You will to modify the clips

Product looks nice when you finish the install but you will need to slightly modify the attachment clips. On my Eco boost Mustang the clips would rub the rotor. With virtually no clearance between the rotor and caliber you will probably need to bend and cut a 1/4" off the end of the clip so it won't touch your rotors.

            Great splash of color!

I had the MGP red caliper covers installed on my 2017 EcoBoost with the performance package. The lettering on the front covers and Tri-Bar pony on the rear covers is excellent. Some reviewers mentioned that the clips used to mount the covers were flimsy, but I did not experience that issue. I found the clips to be very sturdy. I purchased the MGP covers for 2 reasons: (1) I did not like the appearance of the factory calipers; and, (2) I just wanted to add some color to the car. I satisfied both of these concerns with the installation of the covers. You can see the finished installation in the photos section on this page. One final thing, the installer did say that the clip on the rear passenger side of the car needed a bit of bending to clear the rotor. I am extremely pleased with the covers and recommend them to anyone looking to add something to the appearance of their Mustang.

            Not too shabby

Put these on my ‘16 EcoBoost w/ the performance package this past Friday. Was hoping it would only take an hour or so. Ended up being more like 2 hours. Clips didn’t seem like they were going to work right away because of their “V” like shape. They did slide over the calipers just fine. Make sure you use the included “spacer” paper to check to make sure your clips don’t run on the drum. Took a couple of time installing, putting tires back on, driving around the block listening for squeaks and then adjusting to get it right.
