Jake: Jake here for American Muscle. And today, I'm taking a look at these MP Concepts Rocker Panels in Gloss Black for the 2016 and newer Camaro. If you're looking to add some aggressive aerodynamic style to your Camaro without blowing the budget, MP Concepts has got you covered. These side skirts are an easy bolt-on modification that are gonna transform the look of your car for a very affordable price. So if you feel like your Camaro is lacking a bit in the styling department, then have no fear because MP Concepts has got just the solution right here. These side skirts take their inspiration from 1LE and ZL1 cars, and they bring a bit of that race-inspired flair to your Camaro. As you can see, they're wide and they're aggressive, and they certainly make your car stand out in a crowd. Now, a lot of aftermarket styling bits like this can look out of place once they're mounted up on the car.But these really do look like a factory option, and they blend in really well with the rest of the body lines on the Camaro, and they mount up flush to your rocker panels. Now, as far as construction is concerned, these are made from OEM-grade polypropylene or plastic. So while they stand up to abuse, they also have a little bit of give to them. And that's important given their location on the car. Having this little bit of flex is helpful in the event of a bump or some road rash, or even just the occasional leg hitting against it. It means they're less likely to get damaged. And being a little bit soft means that they're not gonna shatter should something get kicked up from your tires. Now the gloss black finish also adds a nice pop to your car. And as we know, black matches with everything. So these are gonna look right at home on any color of car. They also come finished right out of the box just as you see it in my hands right here, which means they are ready to go as soon as you open them up. So they're gonna give you that aggressive look and the OEM quality without breaking the bank. Now, speaking of, these are gonna run you just about $225, which is pretty inexpensive as compared to similar side skirts out there on the market. Now, while you may not be getting the fancy carbon fiber or the highest of high quality, these are still a really nice part. They're well-built and they're gonna look great on your Camaro, plus they fit with pretty much any budget. So I'd say these are a great option for you, especially if you're not looking to spend a lot of money and get something that's gonna make a really big visual difference. Now, they might look a little intimidating to install, but fear not, they're actually quite simple. Coming in at a one out of three on the difficulty meter, these should only take you about an hour to get buttoned up. And now, let's head on over to the install bay where we'll walk you through the process.Man: Tools required for this install include a drill, pair of scissors, double-sided tape, a Phillips head drill bit, an 1/8-inch drill bit, a 21-millimeter socket, and a torque wrench. What's up, guys? Today we're gonna be installing a set of Rocker Panels on our Camaro, so let's get started. So the first step to installing our Rocker Panel is going to be installing our foam support and our double-sided tape. Now, on the foam support, they have it labeled right and left. The right is gonna be the passenger side, the left is gonna be the driver's side. So, the logo is gonna go up and it's just gonna slide right into place. Now, for our double-sided tape, we're gonna be laying a strip across this top line here. And now, once we get to the other side, we can make our cut with a pair of scissors. Now, we're just gonna grab on the edge. pull up a corner, and dog-ear it over the edge. So, for our next step, we've jacked up our car, put it on some jack stands, and taken our wheels off because we do have two holes on each side that we have to make to put screws into. So we're gonna get mounted up, we're gonna put our screws through our bottom holes and then line up the top, and remove our double-sided tape. Now with our Rocker Panel in place, we can take a 1/8-inch drill bit to drill out our holes. And then we can grab our Phillips head drill bit and our Phillips head screw and run these in. Now, coming back to our rear wheel well, we can do that same thing. So we'll get this pinched up into place, and then we can grab our Phillips head drill bit and our Phillips head screw. Now with our sides mounted up, we can go underneath the car and we have eight more holes to drill and put a screw into. So now, we're taking that same 1/8-inch drill bit to drill our holes underneath. And we're just gonna repeat the same thing for the rest of our holes. So now with our Rocker Panel installed and fully mounted, we can grab our dog-eared double-sided tape backing, pull it off, and stick it down.So once you have your wheels back on and your car back on the ground, go ahead and make sure to torque your wheels down to factory spec, and then we can repeat that process on the other side. So that'll wrap up this review and install of the MP Concepts Rocker Panels in Gloss Back for your 2016 and newer Camaro.
