Jake: Jake here for American Muscle, and today I'm taking a look at the MP Concepts Tow Hook for 2016 and newer Camaros. Whether you track your Camaro, or just drive it on the street, having a solid tow hook can be a real lifesaver in a moment of need. And if you're going to have one, get a hook with some style like this one from MP Concepts. It's perfect for the Camaro owner who is looking to add some functionality to a track car, or someone who's just looking to add a little bit of that race-inspired style to their streetcar. Now, a tow hook is a pretty simple thing. But it's also really important that it's done right. Unlike your stock tow hook, this is a two-piece folding unit, so it doesn't stick out quite as far as the stock one, and it's gonna look quite a bit cleaner when it's installed. However, it's still plenty strong enough to get you out of a jam. So, if you happen to find yourself out in a sticky situation on the track, you're going to have a great point with which to pull the car.It also looks nice enough to stay on the car even when you're not in trouble. So, the base here, as you can see, is this nice glossy black finish. And the hook itself is finished in a cool anodized red, which is going to add a nice pop of color to the front end of your Camaro, no matter what the paint color is. The finishes on this mean that it's going to stand up to the elements and the rigors of any towing as well, which hopefully, you don't need to test that last part. But if you are planning on hitting the track, this is a great thing to have, since you do not want to be fishing for a tow hook in the trunk in the event of an accident. But this one just set it up and forget it.Now price-wise, this is only going to run you about $75, which for something that can save your bacon and looks cool, I'd say that's totally worth it. It's also a super easy install, one out of three on the difficulty meter, and it shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to get it on. Just pop the cover off your front bumper, bolt this base in, and then you can twist on the hook like that, and you're ready to go. And to show you just how to do it on your car, let's head over to the install bay right now.Man: Tools required for this install include a trim remover tool. What's up, guys, today we're going to be installing a tow hook on our Camaro, so let's get right down to it. So, our first step is going to be to remove this little grille cut-out. So, we can come in with a little panel remover tool and pry it out.So, our first step is going to be to install our hook onto our stem, and then we can install our tow hook. So, that'll wrap up this review and install of the MP Concepts Tow Hook for your 2016 and newer Camaro. Thanks for watching, and remember for all things Camaro, keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.
