Noah: Hey, I'm Noah from American Muscle and here today we're going to take a look at these MP Concepts Quarter Window Scoops in Gloss Black for the 2015 and newer Mustang Fastback. If you're looking to throw back to the classic GT500 and spice up the visual appeal of your S550 with body modifications without cutting or drilling, a set of quarter window scoops might be exactly what you're looking for.Curb appeal is everything in today's modification scene, and the same thing can be said about vehicle styling in the classic GT500's heyday. Auto manufacturers have since started straying away from selling cars with scoops, fins, and aggressive lines, and in my opinion, those were some of the best aspects of a vehicle, and that's really what made them stand out from others. So, that being said, I think a set of quarter window scoops is the perfect way to get back to that track-bred styling of the GT500 without buying a whole wide-body kit. You know, the charm of these scoops is that they just stick onto the quarter window with adhesive tape, turning an essentially useless window into a bold style point of your ride. These scoops from MP Concepts are injection-molded ABS. They're designed to fill the space perfectly over the quarter window and compliment those existing body lines of the car. They also come with name-brand 3M double-sided bonding tape. So you can be sure that your window scoops are there to stay through all driving conditions. They also look and feel like an OEM part, which is always a really good thing in my book. These window scoops come in right around the $150 mark. Considering how expensive body modifications usually are, I find this price incredible. For how inexpensive these window scoops are, you really do get a nice OEM-grade part with excellent fitment, which is not seen too often in the same price bracket as the good old Riserial Stick-On Hood Scoop. Moving on to the install. Because these guys are just held on with bonding tape, you can count on this being an easy job for just about anybody. It's safe to put these window scoops right at one of the three wrenches of difficulty with a 30-minute install time. Let's take a little bit of a closer look at the installation over in the shop.Man: The tools you'll need for this project are a utility knife or razor blade, and some rubbing alcohol, and possibly a clean cloth. Hi, everyone, today we're installing a set of quarter window scoops on our Mustang, so let's get started. Before we mount our scoop to the vehicle, we'll have to prep the surface of where the tape is going to be adhered to on the scoop and on the vehicle itself. So I highly recommend you wash the car and especially the windows with soap and water. And then once it's dry, use an alcohol pad such as this or regular rubbing alcohol that you can get from your local store and a clean cloth. Make sure that the surface is completely clean. So we'll just go ahead and use our pad to wipe down the surface of the scoop. And you want to do this everywhere that the tape is going to be applied. So you give that a couple of minutes to dry off, and then we can go ahead and apply the double-sided tape that's included in the kit.So basically what you're gonna wanna do is apply the tape to this front surface here on the scoop along the top and bottom and then on this back piece here at the back of the scoop So we'll just go ahead and lay this out. So we'll lay this down and then we'll use our utility knife where you can use a razor blade or pair of scissors, whatever you have available. Make sure you press it down so that it has good adhesion, and then we'll go ahead and do the rest of the scoop. And once you've got your tape applied to the scoop itself, we can go ahead and put this on the car. To do that, what we're going to do is remove the red backing here on our tape and press it onto the window when we put the scoop in place. Now, because we're not making this a permanent change to our vehicle, we're not going to remove all of the backing here. We're just going to show you a couple of pieces, but when you do it, you'll want to remove all of the backing when you apply it to the vehicle. Before you actually remove the backing on the tape, I do recommend that you test fit the scoop on the window just to make sure that you know where it's going to go because once you stick this tape on there it's not going to be very easy to remove. So now that you know where it's going to be placed, we'll go ahead and remove the backing. We'll go ahead and pull the backing off of our tape. Now, like I said, we're not going to remove all the backing on ours because we're not making this permanent. You would, of course, go ahead and remove all the rest of the backing. We're just going to gently place it in the position. And then what you'll do is you just press down on the scoop everywhere that the tape is at, give it a good pressure making sure that it's attached, and then you can repeat that whole process for the other side. And that wraps up our review and install of the MP Concepts Quarter Window Scoops in the Gloss Black finish for '15 and newer Mustang Fastbacks. Thanks for watching, and remember, for all things Mustang, keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.
