will pn6011 msd ignition controller work on a 95 mustang 4.6 v8 in the discrption it says 96-10 models. i have a 95 but the plugs are the same on the coils. but i don't know about the crank shaft position sensor.

        • The 95 model did not come with a 4.6 v8 from the factory. Unless you(or previous owner) had a 4.6 swapped into your car then no this will not work as it is designed for the 4.6's electronics.

can I use this with out switching my engine to carbs

Can I use this with an automatic transmission is it able to control shifting?

        • The MSD Ignition Controller can be used on automatic or manual transmissions, however this will provide no transmission controls for electronically controlled transmission.

the wiring diagram/schematic only shows coil on plug installation. is modification of the provided harness or a separate harness required for 96-98 cobra installation?

        • At this time we do not have a diagram for the 96-98 Cobra. We are not aware of a direct fit harness for this application but believe that MSD 88812 may be able to be used or modified, though we would recommend verifying with MSD.

Where do I get the harness pn 88813 so I can use this with my efi?

        • We do not carry the MSD DIS-4 TO FORD 4.6L MODULAR HARNESS. However, MSD does sell this harness on their website.

a must have for going carbureted

This is a must have if you are putting a carb on your mod motor. It's fairly simple to use, replaces your ignition/injector harness. I've always used MSD because of their high quality products. The same for the mod 6 box. Great product, highly recommend if your going to put a carb on your modular motor!
