        5 Top Rated Questions

Say you have the bigger injectors, throttle body and all the bolts necessary for these cams, but you don’t have nitro use or a super charger, can you still run these?

        • The Comp Cams XE-R Supercharged/Nitrous Stage III Camshafts would be meant for boosted applications and we would not recommendusing these cams on an N/A setup.

Understanding these are designed for supercharger or nitrous use, nitrous isn't used constantly like a supercharger. How do these effect driveability when not spraying?

        • The car may idle extremely low as if it was going to die. The needed oxygen that the supercharger and nitrous supply help keep the car on with this aggressive cams. You shouldn't have to many issues when you aren't running nitrous. I would just be aware of idling and low speeds.

Will this work on a fully stocked 2004 Mach 1 automatic?

        • These Stage III XE-R camshafts will require computer modifications, a larger throttle body, mass air, injectors, exhaust upgrades, lower gears, and Comp Cams Valve Springs to work properly in a Nitrous or Supercharged DOHC 4.6/5.4 V8. With an automatic transmission it will require a 2500 stall. Unfortunately, this product will not work with a completely stock Mustang.

Will Stage 3 cams work the best on a 2003 Cobra that has long tubes, full fuel system upgrades running on e85, and Procharger F1A Cog system that pushing over 25lbs of boost? Or are these more for twin screw super chargers? Because the procharger has a different power band then twin screws.

        • The Comp Cams XE-R Supercharged/Nitrous Stage III Camshafts is an excellent fit for the setup you described. These will work best in the 2200-6400RPM Range.

Will these cams work on a 2001 Cobra with bolt ons including CAI, bigger maf, bigger injectors, exhaust work, lower gears, but no supercharger/nitrous? This would be not for long until I install a supercharger. 1 answer
Hi, the setup so far on my ‘10 Shelby GT500 includes a Kenne Bell 3.6L Liquid Cooled “Mammoth” Blower, w/a 168mm inlet manifold, 168mm Throttle body, a 5” Metal Ram Air pipe w/an Integral Meter, and a 2400 cfm air filter. It also has a 1000 HP Rated Fuel system, a custom tune and 3:55 gears. Right now it has 704 RWHP. What other mods besides the springs and retainers would I need to support these cams, and also what type of power gains can I hope to achieve?? Thank you for your time and I look forward to your responses. 0 answer

Will these cams make power beyond 6400 or is that where they check out? Im running a fully built Teksid block, 10.82 compression Diamond pistons, CNC Livernois ported heads, built TCI turbo 400, 3.73 gears,ARH 1 7/8" X 3" long tubes, and a G4 Whipple 2.9 crusher. Im looking for around 30 pounds of boost with the pulley combo Im going to run. Im wanting to make power beyond 6500 rpm. In your opinion, will these cams work for me? 0 answer

Will these cams fit stock heads in a 97mustang gt I’m running bigger injectors larger throttle body colder plugs and e85 gas but stock heads and 150 shot of zex wet shot 1 answer
It says it will fit my 2007 Gt500 but it also requires comp cam valve springs and comp cam steel retainers in order to work properly, but there are no springs or retainers on this website that fit my car. Does that mean this product won’t actually work for my car? I also checked the manufacturers website and couldn’t find anything. 1 answer

            Comp Cams the way go

I had these Comp Cams installed in my 2004 Mustang Mach1 along with its kit . This cam kit along with a DS1. Procharger produced 646 rwhp and523 lls of torque through a 4R70W transmission. The installation of these cams was the way to go for more power and great sound.

            2004 cobra 106460 comp cams

I purchased and installed the comp XE-R supercharged cams and I'm very satisfied with them. They produced awesome power gains from bottom and top of rpm range, awesome sound and are well worth the price and time to put them in. Highly recommended :)
