Specifically designed for 1979-2004 Ford Mustang Models, this axle housing features a Ford 9-Inch layout and offers a 0.625-inch pinion offset to the passenger side to match the original 8.8 housing geometry. It’s built for high-performance applications where reinforced support and reliability are essential.

      Construction and Appearance. The HD Axle Housing sports a raw metal finish and combines various high-strength steel components for maximum integrity. The center housing is formed from 0.141-inch mild steel and reinforced with a 0.282-inch face plate, while the 3.250-inch OD tubing features 0.25-inch wall thickness of DOM 1026 steel. The forged chromoly housing ends and internal gussets ensure long-lasting structural support under load and stress.

      Installation. This axle housing kit is a direct replacement solution, engineered to fit seamlessly without modifications. It includes pre-installed components such as upper and lower mounts, shock mounts with 1.875 inches of adjustability, fill and drain plugs, and a vent system. Each kit arrives professionally jig-welded to preserve structural alignment and ease of setup.
