      Solid Product

Exact fit, great product. Had a friend install the cams that I bought these for. These along with the springs and COMP cams woke up my 99 a little without a tune.

must for PTV clearance and Peace of mind

I have a 2000 gt that I did Comp Cams 270 on. THESE RETAINERS ARE NEEDED FOR CLEARANCE AND TO SUPPORT EXTRA PRESSURE FROM COMP CAMS BEEHIVE SPRINGS. My Mechanic said mine were damaged due to their age also. They are just added INSURANCE when swapping to a more aggressive Cam profile. Just buy them don't think about

      Great quality, perfect fit!!!

These are high quality retainers. They match up and fit perfectly with the comp cam beehive springs. I would recommend them to anyone doing any upgrades to their valve train. And as usual, props to American Muscle for an excellent price and super fast shipping!!!

      it's a set of retainers

when changing cams and valve springs...you're already there, might as well change the retainers. They fit nicely and are "designed for comp cams beehive springs". Honestly, they don't look any different than the stock springs.

      99-04 4.6L 2V SOHC Valve Springs

Just installed A set of Comp Cams and a set of the COMP cams Beehive valve springs, this is a step not to be missed, as your stock springs might not be worn, they will not handle the valve train when new cams are installed. Good price and shipping, takes some time to install but worth the peace of mind to know proper valve timing. I would highly suggest.

      Works as intended

The retainers were fairly simple to do with the heads out of the car. You can install them with the heads in the car but it might take you longer. They work as intended, they feel durable, met with with the comp cam springs, and cams I installed.
