        5 2013 GT - 30535R19s

        Sticky street tire

I have a na 13 Mustang gt w/305/35R19's on the rear. Overall ride is great if you plan on doing a little "daily driving." Now. When it comes to grip when you need it these tires are GREAT on the street. Especially if you find a fresh strip of black top in good ol' mexico. ;)

        Worked great at the strip

I had a bucket list item to get into the 12's at the strip and these were the thing that took me there.

        NITTO NT05

Whippled 2016 GT with 650 WHP and I love the NT05R. Just returned from first use and hooked great. Temp only 51. Proper RPM launch in 1st and very little spin. Impressive.

        5 2007 GT - JackG

        Nitto extreme performance NT05R 275/40/17

I drag race in the Summit Series ET Bracket program in the Sportsman class driving a 2007 mustang GT mildly modified. This is the 2nd set of nittos and found these tires have excellent grip, quiet, very dependable. Work as well as the other big name tire for less money. Car is driven to racetrack not trailered. Very satisfied with this tire. Also even if not recommended this tire works great on stock 8 inch rim.

Who Said Drag Radials Don't Last!!!

I bought this in September of 2018. Now it's January 2019. Love the tires. They Hook after a small burn out. Have done around 5 burnouts and 7000 miles on them. I daily drive on this tire. EVEN in the RAIN(50-55mph)(Avoid big puddles of water). 65 tread left in them Love them.

        5 2016 GT - MarioS

Right choice for the drag strip

I don't tend to drive like an a-hole in the rain, so wet road performance is irrelevant. They don't handle well in the rain, if it isn't obvious. That said, awesome hook! 430rwhp N/A 16 GT, hooks in 1st gear and through the 2nd shift (automatic, 3.77 gears). Haven't used them on the track yet, but I will be as soon as the 2019 season starts!

If you have any significant horsepower at all these are nottt a good tire !!! You will Spin and spin and spin . These are sitting in my garage now waiting for sale. I now run a Mickey Thompson Street slick . Between the two tires they are not even close in comparison

      5 Top Rated Questions

Will the 305/45/18 fit on 2017 gt with performance pack. With 18×10.5 rims?

      • A 305/45R18 NITTO Extreme Performance NT05R Drag Radial will have no issues fitting a Performance Pack Mustang with 18x10.5 wheels with an appropriate offset.

Hello How well do these tires grip on the streets for every day use. They would go onto my daily driver . Thanks

      • The NITTO Extreme Performance NT05R Drag Radial grip very well because of the soft and flexible tread but keep in mind they will wear much quicker than tread compounds formulated for regular passenger cars. Also, these will not be effective in the rain. We do not recommend driving with these in any conditions other than completely dry conditions.

Suspension drop My Shelby has been drop 1-1/4" will these nittos fit? I have 20x10" rims.

      • Yes these will fit even with your car lowered.

I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to squeeze these on a 18x9 sized wheel, saw the chart said 9.5-11.5 but I didn't even see an option for 18x9.5 sized wheels in the track pack design like the ones I purchased in the past from AM

      • The 285/40R18 and 305/45R18 will require at least a 18x9.5 wheel in order to fit.

I have a 2015 Mustang GT with Velgen VMB6 wheels 20x10.5(offset 45) and lowering springs with a 1.25" drop. Will the 315/35/20 fit without rubbing? Thanks

      • A 315/35R20 NITTO Extreme Performance NT05R Drag Radial would be a very tight fit with the wheel width and offset you listed, and a 1.25" drop. We have not test fit this particular setup, however based on similar setups, you may experience some rubbing on hard launches, or over bumps.
