      • Improves Power and Throttle Response
      • Stronger Longer Spark
      • Designed for Factory and Performance Distributors
      • 9 Pin Module
      • Fits 1986 to 1993 5.0L V8 Mustangs

More Power. Gain quicker starts, better throttle response, and more low-end power just by replacing your old stock Control Module with a Performance Distributors Dyna-module from AmericanMuscle.

Stronger Longer Spark. Performance Distributors Dyna-modules have more electronic dwell than the stock control module, to provide the coil with additional saturation time that results in a longer more intense spark for complete combustion and more power.

Application. This Performance Distributors Dyna-Module is designed for use on 1986 to 1993 5.0L V8 Mustangs, including the LX 5.0, GT and SVT Cobra models with either the stock distributor or a Performance Distributors Distributor.

        Noticed leaking...

This came with the Performance Distributor I bought in 2014. Not sure when it began to fail but I noticed a "mis" in the the engine last Monday when I "got on it" getting on the toll road. I removed the Dyna-Module TFI the following day and noticed the metal plate was sliding around in its position. I religiously grease it every season so I would have noticed it earlier this year. I put the old Ford TFI back on and have not noticed the "mis"

2 1989 GT - Grissom Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Didn’t even last 5 months......

Seemed like it was working as it should for 4 and 1/2 month. One day while driving my car hesitated and stumbled. The next morning it cranked for a split second and died.

5 1986 Other - AnthonyG Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Found more ponies

Better acceleration. The feeling of there is more in there, is gone. I have a longer stronger power band between 3rd and 4th. I get a few more RPM's witch gives a few more ponies above 4,500 rpm's. Believe it or not....she chirps a little going into 4th now. Tehe kinda cool.

2 1987 LX - JesusZ Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Didn't function properly

Replace it with my factory one ran good on idle and cruising speed but at high rpm it would hesitate a tiny bit. A few people that I know really like this brand unfortunately mine came out bad there coil worked great though

5 1988 GT - ThomasC Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

Much better than auto chain stores

I had bought one from AutoZone and replaced it last year while it was still under warranty.Although they claim it’s for the model, year, etc, they never seem to work properly and the car felt off.I use this with the cap and Screamin Demon coil and it’s certainly better than before.Definitly worth the money. The only issue I can see with them not working properly is installing the wrong modules, which are marked “A” for automatic transmissions and “M” for manual transmissions,as they ship both in the same box.Another difference with the AutoZone module...they use one module regardless of the transmissions. You can always sell the module you don’t intend to use and make your money back as well ;)Installation is easy with the proper tool to remove the screws and then making sure the timing is correct after the install.Just use the entire package of grease supplied,as heat is the main cause of these failing and stranding you(often while you are stopped at a traffic light. Not a pleasant experience).

1 1989 GT - JiM Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        good for about a year

worked great for about a year and then the whole thing just came unglued and separated exposing the internal parts arching all over the board, causing my ride to misfire stumble and stall hundreds of miles in the middle of nowhere.

4 1993 - TurboMatt Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Dyna Mod Performance Module

Not sure if I was expecting some kind of extra performance gain or a miracle pill, but it performed like it should. I already have a beefy ignition system (MSD 6AL, MSD Coil, MSD Billet Distributor) so this is probably why I noticed NO difference in the way it performed compared to my old MSD TFI Module. I don't drive the car very much so time will tell how it performs. Fit and finish is great and install only took about 30 minutes.
