Cast-Iron Rotors. To ensure a powerful stopping action, this kit’s rotors are made of cast-iron. This material is known for its good friction coefficient; plus it’s cheaper than other types of metals. To increase its strength and protection against rust, PowerStop coated the rotors with a genuine Geomet finish.
Vented Rotors. Compared to solid rotors, vented rotors are far more durable. Since vented rotors are designed with holes, air can easily flow through, preventing heat build-up that may cause damage to the discs.
Ceramic Brake Pads. To handle your car’s extreme braking temperatures, this kit comes with ceramic brake pads. With a ceramic construction, the brake pads are guaranteed not to easily crack or break even when exposed to high heat.
