Your Mustang’s factory mid-pipe does not do a good job with exhaust gas flow. This X-pipe’s free-flowing design opens up your exhaust system, allowing gases to outflow more freely. The result is an increase in performance numbers that can prove useful during acceleration.
Throaty and Intense Exhaust Growl. The Pypes Catted X-Pipe will also change your Mustang exhaust sound from a run-of-the-mill rumble to a throaty growl that’s full of intensity. This X-pipe produces an exhaust sound that starts as a low-rumble at idling before exploding into a fierce mid-range growl during acceleration. What's more, your new exhaust sound remains totally manageable, so you don’t have to worry about scandalizing your neighbors.
Comes With High-Flow Catalytic Converters. The Pypes Catted X-Pipe replaces your stock cats with a pair of high-flow catalytic converters. These high-flow cats fully complement the x-pipe’s free-flowing design. Moreover, these catalytic converters come with a high platinum load. This results in lower emissions ensuring your vehicle complies with EPA standards.
Tough Build Quality. The Pypes Catted X-Pipe is crafted from tough, 2.50-inch wide, 409 stainless steel tubing for corrosion resistance and strength. Each x-pipe tubing is fully mandrel-bent improving rigidity, and ensuring a turbulence-free inner structure. Also, the included catalytic converters are fabricated from 304 stainless steel and feature a factory-style ceramic substrate.
EPA Compliant. This Pypes Exhaust is 48-state emissions compliant.
Application. The Pypes Catted X-Pipe fits all 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GT models.
Application Note. Installing the Pypes Catted X-Pipe will require a re-tune to your ECU since you will be replacing your vehicle’s catalytic converters.
