Hey, I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I'm taking a closer look at Pypes polished long tube headers fitting the 4 Valve 5 L coyote motor found in all 2011 and newer Mustang GTs. These headers are constructed from durable 304 grade stainless-steel, including the tubing, which has all been Mandrel-bent to improve your exhaust flow. Now these headers also featured a step up design, which basically means the 1-in-5/8ths inch tubing steps up in size as it leads into this massive 3 inch collector which can definitely improve your performance. You'll also be able to notice this bright polished finish, which is sure to look good under the hood, and help reduce any possible corrosion, so they remain looking good for years to come. If you're not familiar with long tubes, then you should definitely keep a few things in mind. First and most importantly, you're going to see the largest gains in both horsepower and torque, which is by far the biggest plus. Now, those extra gains come with a little bit of extra work. For one, the install will be slightly more involved. Secondly, you will have to modify your Mid Pipe as well. Now in this case, Pypes recommends using their shorty X-Pipe, just for proper installation. When it does come time for install, it'd be a great idea to leave yourself a full day, just to tackle the job. Now again, as I mentioned earlier, in order to make this a 100% bolt-on affair, you will need to pick up Pype's shorty X-Pipe, to bolt everything on without modification. Otherwise, you will need to get some custom work done by your local exhaust shop. So in the end, what you can expect from using Pypes polished long tube headers are considerable power gains, improved throttle response, and a slightly more aggressive exhaust note, especially when compared to your factory manifolds, or a shorty setup, all for a price that's very reasonable. So be sure to check them out today, right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Better than BBK!
Had issues with the quality level of the welds in the collector section on the BBK ceramic header set. After frustration in dealing with BBK and so called return policy I turned to PYPES. Let me just say, as always you get what you pay for. So, both headers are on the lower end of the market value "However", after further research, the durable stainless steel construction of the PYPES is the way to go. Stainless steel construction (hopefully with quality welds and excellent professional installation) will potentially outlast the life of your car all together. So if CARMA isn't hiding in wait looking to strike your dreams of HP/Smiles per gallon down then you should be better off buying these. Sincerely "From Experience".Helpful (15)

Can’t beat them.
Honestly was concerned, being they’re the more budget friendly option. But they went on, with 0 issues. Top bolt of no. 8 cylinder you gotta put the nut on with the header, can’t be put on with header in place. But seriously, I really couldn’t be happier. Top end gains, and that sound. Wish I woulda done this first.Helpful (11)

First off, the fit was spot on and the quality couldn't be better. The steering knuckle had no issues with clearance so I didn't have to bent the headers whatsoever. As for the install? It was a pain mostly due to jack stands and jacks but after a couple of days of taking my time it was all worth it. The exhaust note at wot is beautiful, I don't think they are as loud as maybe some of the other brands but for the money and fitment I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor and buy Pypes.Helpful (11)

Worth the struggle,time, and money
Love the product. I installed these myself Wednesday on my back at 7:00pm and got done Thursday at 7:00pm. It’s a 12 hour-1 day job..u will have to remove both motor mounts, starter, x pipe, and jack up on the motor.. the hardest side was the passenger side and keep in mind the motor mount on the passenger said has a bolt u will have to feel for and be careful removing the bolt cause it has a wire attached to it. And u will have to jack up on the motor and let it down to make the header attach properly to the motor studs on the passenger side.Helpful (11)
Will they fit my 2014 GT with the Roush Exhaust
The Pypes Polished Long Tube Headers will fit your Mustang when used in conjunction with the Pypes shorty x pipe.
Wondering if these long tubes are also made in 1 7/8" exhaust as I think it would help the Stage 3 Blower I have installed on my 2011 GT ... Your thoughts?
The tubing on these headers measures 1-5/8".
Would these fit my Pypes offroad H-pipe with pypes cat delete?
These Pypes Polished Long Tube Headers will only work with a mid-pipe designed for long tube headers. The Pypes Off-Road X-pipe, item 20130, is catless and would work with these headers.
Do these headers require o2 sensor extensions for the primary sensors or is the enough slack on them?
The Pypes Polished Long Tube Headers would require o2 sensor extensions which these headers do come with.
Will this fit with off road x pipe from pypes?
No, these cannot be used with the stock midpipe.
These require a matching shorty Pypes midpipe for proper fitment, they would not be compatible with a BBK midpipe.
Unfortunately we have not tested this x-pipe with the pypes so we would be unable to guarantee fitment.
The Pypes long tube headers will not fit the Pypes X-Pipe system you are using due to the dimensions of the pieces together. You would need to modify your existing mid-pipe or purchase a mid-pipe that is specifically intended for long tube headers.
Based on the amount you're lowered, you may have clearance issues. These will not pass smog emissions testing in California, regardless of the x-pipe used. For other states, check with your local DMV.
Yes, we highly recommend a tune after upgrading to long tube headers.
These long tube headers will clear the steering shaft on the 2011-2014 GT Mustang. For proper installation, the Pypes x -pipe is required.
The Pypes Polished Long Tube Headers will require a matching Pypes shorty mid pipe. Full length mid pipes will not be compatible.
Yes, these headers and the required shorty x-pipe will work with the Pypes cat back exhaust system perfectly.
Unfortunately that x-pipe is designed to fit either the factory manifolds or shorty headers. If you're looking to run Pypes Long Tube Headers, you would want to go with this x-pipe as it is designed to work with that specific set: https://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-offroad-shorty-xpipe-1113gt.html.
