Reliable Performance. When upgrading your 2005-2017 Mustang to handle more power people will replace their clutch and flywheel, but will often forget to upgrade their stock hydraulic throwout bearing. By not replacing the factory bearing you can run into some serious problems with gear engagement. A RAM Adjustable Hydraulic Throwout Bearing/Slave Cylinder will improve gear engagement and disengagement while providing reliable, heavy duty performance.

Adjustable. RAM designed their Throwout Bearing / Slave Cylinder to be adjustable. This adjustability allows for a wider range of movement than the OEM unit to accommodate the correct bearing length for your clutch setup. An adjustable RAM Throwout Bearing will make clutch engagement and disengagement issues a thing of the past.

Heavy Duty Construction. RAM engineered their Adjustable Hydraulic Throwout Bearing/Slave Cylinder with larger O-ring seals and Teflon backup rings for near bullet proof durability. This Hydraulic Throwout Bearing includes a steel braided attachment line that is both heat and abrasive resistant making ideal for high performance applications. The factory style fittings ensure years of reliable leak free operation.

Application. This RAM Adjustable Hydraulic Throwout Bearing/Slave Cylinder is specifically designed for use on 2005-2017 GT, Bullitt and BOSS Mustangs as well as 2007-2014 Shelby GT500 models with a Ram Clutch installed.

It states this product fits through 2012 GTs. Is there something different with the 13-14 GTs that would cause this product not to be compatible with it?

  • The RAM Adjustable Hydraulic Throwout Bearing/Slave Cylinder (05-17 GT, 07-14 GT500) is advertised to work through 2017 so this will work no problem with 13 and 14s.

Need a Ram Clutch to go with

I purchased a Spec clutch from American muscle and also the RAM Throwout bearing to go with it thinking these parts will match, they DO NOT, no one at American muscle could tell me why until I called the Spec clutch dealer, who informed me that you can only use a Spec throwout bearing with a Spec clutch, so if you purchase a Ram throwout bearing make sure you only use a Ram clutch and only get advice from the Ram dealer not American Muscle

    wouldnt recommend

Hey guys, i just bought a RAM clutch, i brought it to ford, had it installed, but my car wasnt shifting correctly and i couldnt find the gears.. this was because my slave wasnt strong enough to operate the clutch. i quickly bought this slave because i thought, because i own a RAM clutch, i might as well stray from the brand to avoid problems, boy was i wrong. this clutch comes in 12 -13 different pieces. it is adjustable, but not self adjusting. you have to install it, drive the car, see if its correctly adjusted, if not, take it out and put a shim or two in order to re-adjust the slave. it is a headache. im not trying to badmouth RAM or american muscle, i love my ram clutch, i would recommend that anyone. just not this slave. thanks!

    not for the weak hearted

This is a very sturdy product very well maybe and very simple. Installation is not for the week it requires a lot of measuring and math but if you check everything twice it works great I had mine perfect the first shot but it is only adjustable if you pull the trans

    Product Leaks

This product was installed by a Certified Tech. As soon as the transmission was back in the car this leaked...Never even got to get the car started before it was leaking...This is the only upgraded Throwout Bearing/Slave cylinder I could find so I ended up having to purchase a Stock one from Ford. I do NOT recommend this product...

    RAM Hydraulic Throwout Bearing

Great Product, install was fairly simple and it works better than the stock bearing. Much more repetative.

    Factory installed seals were defective.

Had to do the job twice since the factory "O" ring seals were defective. Ram replaced the "O" rings at no charge but removing the tranny a second time was on my dime. Works good now though.

    Ram throwout bearing

Ram recommended this for their clutch so I went with it. The unit has shims for adjustment kind of a pain to measure for proper adjustment. Once installed it leaked so I called ram they put it off on the shop before i even explained the issue. ( the shop does shelby cars all the time they did it right not the first one of these they have done) The seals where not installed correctly. Ram sent me new seals under warranty but charged $27.00 shipping. The unit works fine now but I would be hesitant to buy again.
