Dependable Heavy Duty Performance. When putting serious horsepower and torque to the pavement many Mustangs owners will upgrade their clutch and flywheel to handle the power, but will often forget to upgrade their factory hydraulic throwout bearing. The OEM throwout bearing is fine for the daily driver, but can cause major problems with gear engagement in high powered Mustangs. That is why McLeod engineered their 1400 Series Hydraulic Throw Out Bearing/Slave Cylinder to be a heavy duty dependable performance upgrade that is ideal for use in high powered street, track and drag applications.

Adjustable. McLeod engineered their Throwout Bearing and Slave Cylinder to be adjustable. This adjustability allows for a wider range of movement than the stock OEM unit to accommodate the correct bearing length for your clutch setup. An adjustable McLeod Throwout Bearing will make clutch engagement and disengagement issues a thing of the past.

Application. This McLeod Adjustable Hydraulic Throwout Bearing and Slave Cylinder is designed for use on 2005-2010 GT and Bullitt Mustangs with a TR3650 transmission, as well as 2011-2017 GT and BOSS Mustangs with a MT82 transmission.

Would you remove the included input braided line to plumb an aftermarket braided stainless clutch line direct to this TOB, or is there a fitting/adapter for aftermarket clutch line to mate to this TOB?

Anonymous

  • There is a fitting/adapter for an aftermarket clutch line to mate with this throw out bearing. It would be McLeod's high performance hydraulic clutch line upgrade item #62610.

  • Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated delivery time for international orders, as they may change, however, you may view the available options through our international website. The McLeod Adjustable Hydraulic Throwout Bearing/Slave Cylinder will be a great modification for GT's and GT500's with all ranges of horsepower ratings.

Will this work with other clutch manufactures such as spec? Will it also work with the tremec magnum xl transmission?

Dven

  • The McLeod Adjustable Hydraulic Throwout Bearing/Slave Cylinder should work on other brand clutches since it is also designed to work on the factory clutch. This should work with the Tremec Magnum XL Transmission just fine.

It certainly appears well engineered. A solid hunk of tightly assembled hardware. It's installed and adjusted on the input shaft, however waiting on Shelby External reservoir to arrive to button up everything and bleed it. I've constructed an brace to limit slave travel so as to bleed before reinstalling transmission. I'll edit this post upon completion.

    Works great

It's a really good looking n functional just a little hard to adjust it once u get it dialed in ul be set n happy! but I had to bring down the trans twice to adjust throwout bearing. it's not just a slip-on wish it had better instructions on how to adjust properly so I won't have to bring down the trans twice
