    Install or Rebuild. If you're installing new gears or rebuilding your 7.5" rear on your Mustang, a Motive Bearing kit contains everything you need to make the job easy and worry-free. This kit contains everything you need to make installing new gears a straightforward process for yourself or your installer and ensures a long life for your differential.

    Extra Insurance. If you're installing new gears, a Motive Bearing kit is extra insurance against future problems. Any Mustang can benefit from fresh hardware in the differential to ensure your gears perform flawlessly. However it is highly recommended to add this kit to your new gears for any Mustang with over 60,000 miles, since your differential's hardware is probably worn down and you can combine labor costs to save money.

    Includes Bearings. Unlike other installation kits which include gaskets, seals, and hardware but no bearings, the Motive Bearing Kit includes bearings for peace of mind, extra insurance, and superior differential performance.

    Ultimate Kit. This kit has all the components of the Motive Installation Kit, including pinion seals, gaskets, hardware, marking compound and brush, and even Loctite. It also includes the front and rear pinion bearing and the differential bearings.

      Good with room to work

      used this kit for my 4.10 gears install along with the Royal Purple. the kit could have included better shims for the placement but other than that decent overall.

      Great kit!!

      I have recently used this bearing kit on my 7.5 28 spline mustang rear axle. It's a good buy and has most of essential s you will need. The only thing that I would like to see are some c-clips and a oil slinger washer in this kit....

      7.5 Bearing Kit

      This kit is a must if your doing a gear change, going posi or both. It has everything you need and good quality. After doing some research I found out motive uses Timken Bearings in the kit. The best bearings on the market! The only place in the kit where it fell short was the differential shims, there is some room for improvement in that area. But the shop worked it out and I'm happily doing posi burn outs and smokey donuts with confidence knowing I used the good stuff!

      Good package however...

      I bought this package along with 3.73 gears for my 7.5 rear end however the gasket that was in the package was for a 8.8. AM normally never makes these sort of mistakes though I planned on not using the paper gasket anyway. The kit was very well put together with everything needed to complete the install. I would recommend it to anyone changing their gear ratio and suggest rebuilding the diff with new spider and side gears unless you plan on installing a LSD. Thank you AM great product!

      Well worth the money!

      I added these gears as well as the LSD from Auburn and *WOW!!! It's a Night and Day difference indeed! It's quick and makes the drive through (and around) city traffic much more enjoyable.

      it's all about the tires and mags!!

      Love love love my American muscle fat tires and chrome rims!! Best mother's day gift ever delivered right to my door balanced and ready to put on. They are absolutely gorgeous and totally changed the look of my car. Bought this from my 92 year old father who had passed away now but art least got to see the new wheels. Thanks AM!!

      Not an easy install but happy i did it.

      It took a while to carefully remove all the stock races from the housing and bearings from the differential carrier and pinion but it was worth it. I might have saved a lot more time if I had a pro pull ALL the bearing and press on the new one from the start, but I had to learn the hard way. Don't make the same mistake I did, when hammering out the pinion use a soft head hammer or a brass rod or a piece of wood to protect the threads on the pinion shaft. Also, invest in a brass rod for punching out the races in the housing, it's better to let the rod take all the hits than any of the bearings or the races. An inch pound torque meter is a MUST HAVE for setting the preload on the on the pinion nut. After i got it all installed and took it for a ride it was like new again. Awesome product, thanks AM.

      Great quality

      Although there isn't much to say, these gears were great quality and made I stalling my 4.10 gear set a million times easier. I always go with replacing used parts when I can and this was just another replacement. Overall though they seemed to be of great quality and I have had no problems with them at all. It also helped because I didn't have to be careful with the old ones. Definitely some peace of mind there. I would absolutely recommend these!

      Good Enough To Get the Job Done

      My installer told me it was a pretty good rebuild kit but he complained about the shims not fitting right, had to reuse the old ones and the paper gasket is complete junk! The actual bearings are Koyo so that was very good, indeed.

      Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit

      I changed the gears out on my fox to 3.73s. The factory bushings and bearings were completely worn and destroyed. I highly recommend this kit for anyone who is replacing the gears.

      Necessary for any gear install

      Just as the title says, this kit is required for any gear install. Most shops won't even try without it because the factory carrier bearing gets shredded during removal. The kit comes with everything you need to make your install go smooth!

      3.73 gears

      Product was what I expected. Was very happy with the end result. But after the break-in I really started to fool around and play with the new found torque only to tear both gears up. But that is why I should have put loc-tite on the ring gear bolts. The installation kit was a perfect match to what came out, numbers matched. I would like to see some kind of layout of how to put the rear end back together only because of the time laps from start to finish. Plus it also helps to know you put everything back right. But overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and the cost of it. Thanks American muscle.
