    Review & Install Video

Hi everyone I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and I’m taking a look at these OEM style replacement headlights for all 99-04 Mustangs. These lights feature the classic OEM styling with an aggressive black housing that never goes out of style. They’d be great for someone that wants to freshen up the front of your ride, without committing to a more radical aftermarket lens. The headlights are sold individually, so you have the option of picking up just the right or the left if you’d like, but your best bet would be to pick up both to really freshen up the front end. The headlights also include a dual element 9007 bulb, which covers both your high and low beams. Install is fairly straight forward and should take you about an hour using standard hand tools. Now when installing new headlights we always like to recommend that you aim them properly to make sure you’re getting the best vision possible without blinding oncoming traffic. If you need any help with this whatsoever you can always reference the install video located on this page. So if you want to make the front end of your New Edge Mustang look like new again, and you’re a fan of the old “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” original styling from Ford, then you’ll definitely want to check out these OEM style replacement headlights.

OEM Styling. These Axial OEM style replacement Black Replacement headlights are the perfect replacement for damaged or scratched 1999 to 2004 Black Mustang lights.

Improves Visibility. Now you can improve your night visibility just by replacing your old weathered and cracked stock headlights with a brand new crystal clear replacement headlights from Axial.

Bulb application. These Axial replacement headlights include dual element 9007 bulbs for high/low beams. AmericanMuscle recommends high quality 9007 replacement bulbs from Raxiom and Sylvania. See the drop down menu option above to select a new set of bulbs to go with your new headlights.

So these Black Stock #49092's do not have a tint on the lens? They are the same crystal cleat lens as OE Style #42011 and the original OEM lights?

        • The Axial Black Stock Replacement Headlights boast that same OEM clean lens but with an aggressive black housing behind the lens to give your mustang a really tough look!

I have the Raxiom Smoked Projector Headlights and I can't see anything at night. Are these headlights bright, or should I upgrade the bulb?

        • These Axial Black Stock Replacement Headlights will indeed allow more light, allowing for more brightness. The reason being is anything listed as "smoked" will have a tint on the headlight. Since this is not smoked, it will not have a tint on the lens, and indeed will let more light through the lens leading to a more/brighter light relative to a smoked headlight with a similar bulb.

How do you adjust these headlights?

        • There are knobs on the back of the headlights that will allow you to adjust them.

Do these lights have 2 alignment screws, up and down adjustment and also the side to side adjustment screws? The current aftermarket lights that are on my Cobra only have a single screw adjusting up and down, nothing side to side. Had to shim to get rid of it being cross eyed.

        • Unfortunately, these headlights will only have one adjustment screw. The adjustment screw would allow you to adjust vertically.

do these come already sealed? are the headlights already sealed with automotive silicone? or is that something I would have to do after I bought them?

        • All of the lights are supposed to be sealed from the factory. The best practice is to put a bead of silicone along the entire edge of the light unit where the clear lense meets the body. My wife's 2013 Escape had to have a rear light unit replaced for condensation problems. This is the first thing I do for all my aftermarket lights I've purchased.

can these be adjusted vertically and horizontally? 1 answer
I see two previous questions asking about headlight adjustment. One states vertical and horizontal adjustment and the other states only vertical. In the images posted in the product description I see two adjustment areas one the top right and one in the bottom left. Most aftermarket headlights that I've seen only have the adjustment area in the top right. Can anyone confirm if these arrive with two adjustment areas and if they are both vertical and horizontally adjustable? 0 answer

Are these headlights like the OEM ones, where they fog up with age and get cruddy looking? I was looking for glass ones that won't have that aging of plastic headlights and wondering if these are glass ones. I'd love to make my 2002 Mustang look newer with these, but I just have to ask. Nice Headlights

I put them on my 04 GT it looks really nice, the only thing that the one from the passenger side weather strip started to come out. I used a little glue and placed it back on and it looks nice on the car, like a new car.

            Axial replacement headlights

The replacement headlights fit perfect and only take a few minutes to install. The visibility is great and the clean headlights look much better than aged lights from 2002. The only issue I had was the seal around the passenger side light started to peel off after a few days.

            Headlight Replacement

Good fit to replace old headlight, also considering the smoke look for my car. Great price, thank AM.

Did I Receive The Wrong Ones? Smoked Looking!

OK, these appear more smoked then clear and I'm not thrilled about that as I want the maximum light transmission possible. The other thing I don't like at all is the lack of a horizontal adjust WHICH THE OEM HEADLIGHTS HAVE! If they aren't aligned straight when I drive in the dark they're going to have to go back and I'll just restore my OEM units again.

            Good light.

These are good lights. I now white light rather than yellow. How ever the rubber strip on right headlight wasn't fitted perfect. I had to work it a bit for better fit. Not bad enough to return.

            Nice

Nice, and makes the car look a lot newer and cleaner.. but the driver side headlight that i received had a defect where the rubber lining is, causing it to leave a huge noticeable gap between the car and the top of the headlight

            Awesome, Awesome, Awesome

What can I say? Extremely affordable, came loaded with the bulbs! pretty snug fit with the rear metal retainers but I'd rather have that than a loose one. very light taps with a rubber mallet and the retainers seated down fine. These have a black backgound, they looked like they are smoked but they're not, awesome upgrade from the old yellowed headlights I had.

Love the new headlights. Should've ordered them a long time ago. Took less than 5 minutes each to install. Only complaint is the top rubber seal leaves a bit of a gap.
