Good quality, prep required
I love the look of this spoiler (unpainted) I have not put it on my car but I am going to use factory holes only, and I am going to remove the bolt on both side pieces and Just 3m tape them on. I will say the spoiler needs quite a bit of sanding due to the sharp edges from the molding and casting process, but the quality is great.Helpful (1)

Not plug and play
Brought my spoiler to my custom installer. He told me it was very rough, requiring 4 to 5 hours of prep work before it could be installed. No one told me to expect that. I love the look of the spoiler on my 2007 GT/CS, but had to postpone some of my other modifications because of the unanticipated expense.Helpful (0)

Looks Amazing. Well made!
First, you will have to have these prepped and painted. They will need it as they are raw molded parts. They are good quality parts. Have it done professionally. Don’t cut corners here. The end result is worth paying to have it done the right way. The install took 2-3 hours. Take your time and check and double check your templates and hole locations before drilling. I drilled first with a small 1/16 drill to spot for the larger drills. I used a couple drills to get to the larger final drill. It helped to better locate the holes by not allowing the drill bits to wander while getting the holes started. I had to open the factory holes in the deck lid to match the others to allow a little play in aligning the center piece on the deck lid better. Be sure to read the instructions a few times and make sure you cut out the templates accurately and line them up on the edges of each radius on the panels as described in the instructions. Do this and take your time and you won’t have any issues. It went smoothly for me installing this on 2 of our vehicles.Helpful (0)

More style than any other wing out there!!!
In my opinion, you cannot get a better looking wing than this. When you get it, it is bare plastic and it has sharp edges from the mold that you will have to file/sand down before it is ready to paint. The templates are a little confusing to make sure that you get them in the right place. If your car came with the factory wing, I recommend lining up the bolt holes with the ones on the template and then secure the wing to the decklid first. There are 2 allen bolt holes that need to be drilled before you can totally install the wing correctly. These holes are not marked on the template. What I did is there are some foam disks that are supposed to be stuck on that are for the wing to sit on the deck lid. What I did was put those on and then took a black sharpie and colored on the disks and made them wet with ink, then installed the wing on the decklid and then pressed down on top of the disks and the sharpie ink marked where I needed to drill the holes. After that, I took the side wing templates and lined them up with the actual decklid part of the wing installed to make sure the side wings line up correctly. All in all, great product and great looks!Helpful (3)

Little rough around the edges
Takes a bit of sanding before you can start painting. However, it smoothed out relatively easy.Helpful (2)

Received my Roush spoiler in 2 days.....Item could have been packed better(no fault of AM)...Part of the wing was showing out of the box upon delivery(again not AM fault)...The 3 piece wing was in good condition..ready for prep,prime,paint..spoiler is now in paint shop...Excited to see it when paint and installation are complete...This Roush wing painted black on my red show car gt will surely be more of a show stopper ....Helpful (4)

I have the pre-painted mmd gps cover on my trunk. Will the spoiler fit? I didn't see any customer photos of it in conjunction with the roush wing.
The Roush Rear Wing Spoiler comes quite close to the factory trunk mounted GPS Antenna. You will likely run into clearance issues with the MMD Satellite Radio/GPS Antenna Cover installed.
What is the width of the middle (slope) for racing stripes?
At the spoilers widest point it is going to be 11".
Are the holes in the side pieces required? And does the center only use factory holes
Are the holes in the side pieces required?
For proper installation it would be required.
Why not offer this pre-painted? It'd sell like hot cakes as opposed to what you DO offer pre-painted. I'd buy it that way as opposed to unpainted. No bueno, American Muscle.
We definitely understand that this product would be awesome pre-painted like some of the brands we carry. Unfortunately, Roush does not offer this wing in a pre-painted version currently.
This will require full prep and primer before being painted.
The Roush Rear Wing Spoiler does not come primed.
The Roush Rear Wing Spoiler comes with all the necessary templates, hardware and even the double sided tape needed for installation and best of all it covers the holes left by the factory spoiler so no additional body work is required!
This will require you to drill new holes yes.
The Roush Rear Wing Spoiler will clear the factory satellite antenna!
If the Roush Rear Wing Spoiler is installed properly there should be no concerns with leaks into the trunk space.
The center Spoiler piece is held on with both 3M Tape and bolts. If you follow the link below, it will take you to an installation guide which will show you how to install this Spoiler. http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/69000-cust.pdf
Unfortunately, this isn't one of the products we can pre-paint before shipping.
