The AmericanMuscle Graphics Headlight Tint Kit is gonna be an extremely affordable way to give your '05 to '09 GT or V6 headlights that smoked look, but without being permanent, and without needing to fork out big money for a complete headlight replacement. In fact, the vinyl that we have here on the table is gonna land you right around 40 bucks, and will get a simple 1 out of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter from me, with a little bit more detail to come later on in the video. So blacked out, smoked, murdered out, whatever you wanna call it, it's been a popular look for many Mustang owners for as long as I can remember, and for good reason. It just simply looks awesome. Now, traditionally, there are gonna be a few different ways to achieve this. First and foremost, you can completely replace those headlights, or whatever lights you're looking to smoke, with something available in the aftermarket, but let's face it, that can get a little pricey. You can also check out your spray tint options, which can lead to some inconsistent results. And then last but not least, there is the vinyl method which we are talking about here today. And if we're being completely honest, would a set of aftermarket smoked headlights deliver the best results or look? Absolutely, but the reality is not everyone has a couple hundred bucks to throw down for a new set of fancy headlights. So if that's the case, I think vinyl is going to be your next-best option, because it will be super affordable, it's gonna deliver a really good look, and it's also very easy to install. But let's talk a little bit more about what you're getting here from the crew at AM Graphics, and honestly, gang, it's very very simple. Now the vinyl has been cut perfectly to fit the shape of your GT or V6 headlight. I'm sorry, unfortunately, these things will not fit your Shelby GT500. The material itself is a 3-layer, 5-mill PVC vinyl that that is thick enough to give you some durability, along with that smoked look. But at the same time, it will allow the headlights to shine through. In fact, the crew at AmericanMuscle Graphics is claiming up to 80% of your total light output is still gonna make it through the dark smoked vinyl here. Now, obvious statement of the day here gang, smoking your lights like this will ultimately affect your total light output. As we just pointed out, about 80% is gonna make it through, compared to your factory headlights. Now, this isn't enough to totally kill your lights but, at the same time, don't expect the same amount of throw with the vinyl in place. With that in mind, you might want to consider upgrading to a brighter bulb, but ultimately that is up to you. So we know by now that the 5-mill vinyl will be extremely durable, hold up to the abuse on the front of your car. And it is rated for up to five years of continuous outdoor use without shrinking or degradation or discoloring. And on top of that, it's gonna be the same material used with the rest of the AmericanMuscle Graphics light tint, for things like your turn signals, your fog lights, brake lights, and things like that. So depending on how hard you wanna go with that smoked-out look, you'll be able to grab everything here, of course, on the site, and you'll also be able to expect a very consistent look, thanks to the fact that you are getting the same material with each and every piece. As far as the install is concerned, well, you got a combination of a flat piece for a flat surface to work with, thanks to to the '05 to the '09 headlight design, in addition to the kit being very friendly or easy to work with. So I'm gonna call this a 1 out of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter. Maybe 30 minutes of your time of your time to get both headlights knocked out. A couple of pointers here, guys, I would recommend doing this job in a shaded area or garage. Don't do it in direct sunlight, at least for the install, it'll just make it a little bit more trickier than it needs to be. You're also gonna wanna make sure the headlight is nice and clean before getting started. Windex, alcohol, whatever you have laying around the house. Now, using a spray bottle with a soap-and-water mixture, only a little bit of soap is really all you need here, guys, go ahead and lightly mist the headlight area. Now doing one headlight at a time, go ahead and remove the tint from the backing paper, and place it on the headlight using your soap and water mixture to act as a lubricant, to help you slide the vinyl around until you have it exactly where you want it. At this point, you can use your included squeegee here to help you remove any excess water or bubbles, and allow the vinyl to dry for a few hours. Now if you want, you can help speed this process up by putting the front end of the car in the sun, after the install of course, or using a hair dryer or heat gun to help you get rid of any extra moisture. So if you're a fan of that smoked look and would like an affordable and nonpermanent solution for your GT or V6, be sure to check out this and other tint options from AmericanMuscle Graphics, right here at americanmuscle.com.

Easy install, looks great.
I ordered these to match the black matte look I currently have on my car. Following the instructions, it took me about 5 minutes per light. Very simple and they look great. So far no wear or damage from driving after about a month.
Can this product be installed and removed more than once? Thinking about purchasing this but only to use for show application, not everyday use.
This headlight tint is only going to be able to be used once. If you wanted something that is easily removed and installed, we would recommend smoked headlight covers: https://www.americanmuscle.com/05-mustang-smoked-headlight-covers.html
how do you remove the tint? not sure if mine are like this but when i bought my car it looked bad with them on can i restore the tint or just remove ..again it was already on probably not purchased through american muscle but i would like to know how to remove
For best results, we recommend removing the headlight unit so you can see the entire outline of the tint. Use a heatgun on light heat and the corners should slowly lift up which will allow you to grab and slowly pull as you heat from side-to-side on the headlight. Adding a water solution to the headlight while you are lifting the tint will allow the tint to lift smoother with less residue.
If your current headlights have weathering than the Smoked Tint for your headlights will not improve your current lens. I would personally recommend having the headlights restored which is usually relatively inexpensive or purchasing a new set and then purchasing the tint kit.
