The UMI Performance TH400 Transmission Torque Arm Relocation Kit; Black is designed to facilitate seamless upgrades on GM F-Body vehicles, ensuring efficient torque arm positioning and transmission mounting. It relocates the torque arm to allow optimal instant center adjustment and compatibility with both factory and aftermarket torque arms, improving drivetrain performance and vehicle handling.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from high-quality DOM mild steel tubing and 0.188” thick mild steel mounting plates, this kit offers exceptional strength and durability. The torque arm mount uses 0.250” thick mild steel, and the entire assembly is finished with a durable, black powder coat that provides a tough, long-lasting surface resistant to corrosion and wear.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with a bolt-in fit requiring no drilling, cutting, or welding, utilizing existing factory holes. All necessary hardware is included to simplify the process and preserve vehicle structural integrity, making it accessible to most enthusiasts with basic mechanical skills.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro models with TH400 transmissions, this kit requires the use of a solid one-piece polyurethane bushing and is incompatible with the factory two-piece bushing design. This ensures enhanced performance and proper fitment for the specified model years.
