Description
Race-Ready Torque Management System. The UMI Performance Tunnel Mounted Torque Arm is a serious upgrade for 1993 to 2002 Camaro models seeking improved traction and rear-end control under high-performance conditions. Designed for street-strip and competition use, this arm delivers consistent handling by transferring torque through the chassis tunnel rather than the transmission tail housing.
Construction and Appearance. Fabricated from 1.250-inch DOM seamless steel tubing, the torque arm features TIG-welded 4140 chrome moly tube adaptors and an on-car adjustable heat-treated chrome moly steel adjuster for fine-tuning pinion angle. It includes 0.375-inch thick mild steel rear mounting plates, greaseable polyurethane bushings, and solid ¾-inch rod eyes paired with Grade 8 hardware. The black powder-coat finish ensures long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance in harsh environments.
Installation. Installation is moderately difficult and may require minor drilling or exhaust modification depending on the specific setup. The tunnel-mounted design separates torque transfer from the transmission, making it ideal for high-horsepower builds or driveline swaps.
Application. This UMI Performance Tunnel Mounted Torque Arm fits 1993 to 2002 Chevrolet Camaro models and is compatible with factory, 12-bolt, and 9-inch rear axle housings.
