Description
Brake Kit Upgrade. The Wilwood Forged Narrow Superlite 4R Rear Brake Caliper and Bracket Upgrade Kit in red delivers enhanced stopping power and improved brake performance to the rear suspension of select vehicles. It replaces original equipment calipers while maintaining full compatibility with existing master cylinders and ABS systems, ensuring safe and reliable braking under various driving conditions.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from high-strength forged aluminum with a center bridge reinforced design for increased rigidity and strength, this caliper features a durable red powder coat finish that resists corrosion and adds a distinct, performance-oriented look. The design incorporates four stainless steel pistons for balanced force distribution and consistent brake application. Included BP-20 dual-sport compound pads provide quiet street operation as well as improved friction for sport driving.
Installation. Designed to mount directly in the original factory location, installation is straightforward and typically requires no drilling or modifications. Proper flexline kits must be selected to match the vehicle model year to ensure proper fit and function.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 1997-2013 Corvette C5 and C6 models equipped with 13.00-inch rear rotors from the 2005-09 C6 Z51 package. Requires compatible rotors and brake lines as specified to ensure optimal performance and safety.
