Description
Cuts Down Stopping Distance. Even with the terrific BMR suspension to improve overall ride quality along with the potent engine powering your fifth-gen Ford Mustang, you still need superior brakes so that you come to a stop as quickly as possible. Enter the Wilwood AERO4 Rear Big Brake Kit, which comes with 6-piston calipers and 14-inch rotors to go on your rear wheels. With this kit installed on your car, you do not need to wait for long before your Mustang stops completely once you press the brake pedal. Its improvement over the stock parts makes it a must-have for street performance or track racing.
Combines Advantages of Drilled Holes and Slots. While some rotors have either drilled holes or slots on their faces, this set has both. As a result, they will maintain the proper operating temperature (thanks to the holes) and remove the friction-created gasses and brake dust (thanks to the slots).
Strong and Durable. The calipers, rotors, and rotor hats are made from stainless steel, iron, and aluminum, respectively, which means that they are primed for the roughest driving experiences. The calipers sport a nice red powder coat finish for maximizing corrosion resistance, in addition to providing a stylistic boost. Not to be left behind, a black electro-coat is applied on the rotors and a black e-coat goes on the rotor hats: also to fight off rust.
Direct Bolt-On Upgrade. Wilwood designed this rear brake kit to be a direct replacement of your stock Mustang calipers and rotors. It can take up to 4 hours to complete the installation.
Application. This Wilwood AERO4 Rear Big Brake Kit with Drilled and Slotted Rotors is designed for use on the 2005–2014 Ford Mustang models equipped with a BMR suspension.
Application Note. Wilwood AERO4 Rear Big Brake Kit requires the use of 18-inch or larger rims for proper clearance.
