Improve ET's and low end torque. Are you looking to get more low end grunt off the line and lower ET's at the same time? Then look no further than installing a set of steeper gears in your Pony. This Ford Racing Ring and Pinion Gears are perfect for street, road, or race use.

Complete Kit. This Ford Racing Gear and Installation Kit comes complete with all the components needed to swap out your ring and pinion gear. It includes Ring gear, Pinion gear, inner rear gear pinion bearing, 1 bottle of Friction Modifier, 2 bottles of 75w140 Gear Oil, gaskets, seals, shims, bearings and all the required hardware.

Legendary Ford Racing Quality. When you're adding performance parts to your Pony, you can't go wrong by installing parts from the folks that know it best. Ford Racing's legendary quality ensures years of hassle-free use.

Recommended Upgrade. Changing the rear axle gear ratio will throw off the calibration of your Mustangs speedometer, but a Ford Racing Speedometer Recalibration Tool or a Bama SF4/X4 Power Flash Tuner is a quick and easy way to fix this issue.

Application. This Ford Racing 4.10 Rear Gear and Installation Kit is designed for use with 8.8in solid rear axle equipped Mustangs, including the 2005-2014 GT, Bullitt, BOSS, Shelby GT500 and 2011-2014 V6 models.

Application Note: Does not fit 2013 Boss or 2013-2014 Shelby GT500 Mustangs with axle codes S-215-D and S-219-D.

Technical Note. Installation costs will vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Be sure to work with a reliable shop that you trust for installations. You can also save money on your installation labor by having your Trac-Lok rebuilt at the same time as your gears are installed, see drop down option above.

...simply the finest ‘snap your neck’ acceleration upgrade for my 2012 MUSTANG GT. RPM increase at 70 mph is very manageable; exhaust audio through full FLOWMASTER SYSTEM is great.

            Guess who just woke up?

Everyone said that 4.10's would be a big change and they weren't lying, My 5.0 is my daily and lets just put it this way. I recommend when you do these 4.10's upgrade your breaks because everything comes at you a lot faster.

Off the line is so much better

I went from 3.31s to these 4.10s and cannot do anything less than these. Unfortunately I didn’t break them in right and will probably need a new set but that’s on me. I love the feeling of getting pushed into my seat off the line and make the car so much more fun to drive. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for that drag setup. Cruising on the highway at 70 mph I’m sitting at about 2200 to 2400 rpms so nothing crazy there.

            4.10 Gear Kit

Just a quick reference on this kit. I have a 2013 v6 automatic. I am adding some nice mods slowly for power and torque. These gears are the first thing after you CAI you should purchase. I had a local gear shop install this kit along with a BRAND NEW Traction Lock with Carbon Discs. Not the rebuild kit. Took the shop about 4 hours at a cost of $450. They have strict break in they recommend which is 1,000 miles. After 700 miles they recommend bringing it back in to replace the new Royal Purple with new. So I am going to lay low on them as prescribed. Yet I can tell that right off the top you can feel the difference just moderately driving it. Very happy with this changeout. Have yours installed right. This is not an easy job and certainly not for an amateur to try.

            20 inch wheels/this gear,perfect street ratio

These gears put the power band of my supercharger right in time. I personally think these are perfect, not too steep, great at the strip and still cruise 75mph at under 3000rpm

            Good bump in acceleration

Had these installed for about $400 very slight hum above 60 mph. In a 6 speed card you're looking at about 3000 rpm to go 80 mph. Good quality kit and a significant boost to acceleration. You need to plan for some rear suspension upgrades to help with traction.

            Great choice

I was on the fence between the 4.10 and the 3.73 glad i chose the 4.10 gas millage changed by a 0.4 mile difference took a while to install with no rear end experience but the PDF guide on American Muscle had all the information i needed for a good install. would not recommend installing on jack stands because getting the correct preload on the pinion nut is difficult with no clearance for leverage. but overall the performance gains are totally worth the hassle!

            Great Product

I chose to purchase the entire kit instead of the gears alone and it was a great decision. I combined it with a new toque converter and there is definitely a difference. I would greatly recommend it for anyone that wants to that 1/4mile tome down.
