Improved Braking. J&M Products Stainless Steel/Teflon-lined braided hoses provide better performance than the stock rubber hoses. These direct replacement D.O.T. certified rear hose assemblies provide much quicker braking response, firmer pedal feel, and better brake modulation than the original factory hoses.

Additional Safety. Stainless Steel Teflon Brake Hoses not only improve your braking performance, but they also provide additional safety over the factory rubber hoses that can fail or split under extended track use.

Better than OEM Quality. Every J&M hose is tested to 3000 psi to guarantee a leak free hose assembly. And best of all these hoses are made right here in the USA.

Application. These are not a universal fit hoses you get at your local parts store, this set of two hoses are designed to be a direct fit OEM replacement for the front of the 1999-2004 4.6L GT Mustangs, does not fit 2001 Bullitt.

      Great products

Purchased front and rear replacements for my 2004 Mach 1. They were an exact fit. Excellent addition to new calipers and rotors. Thanks American Muscle for providing these high quality products. I will be doing the clutch in the spring.

      Cobra brake swap

These are great brake hoses. I don't know why people say you can't use these on 04 and older cobra brake swaps. They worked fine on my 01 GT that I just did the swap on. Of course you do have to get different banjo bolts but that has nothing to do with the hose, most cobra calipers (depending on the year) take a different thread than a GT. These make the pedal a lot firmer. It makes you feel more confident you'll actually stop under heavy braking. They are a quality product.

      Great upgrade

Excellent item. I had to file drivers side body mounting clip to install - easy fix. Make sure the lines are really tight on the calipers to get the copper washers to seat. Great improvement on brake feel for a good price!

J&M Stainless Steel Teflon Brake Lines - Front (99-04 GT)

Perfect fit. Nice improvement in pedal stiffness/sensitivity. Take note the passenger side and drivers side fittings to the hard line are different sizes. I thought I got the wrong set of brake lines until I noticed the difference.. One side is 3/16" and the other 1/4", why? IDK. Ford design for some reason. The copper banjo washers do come with the kit. The box contents does not say they come in the kit but they do. DO NOT over tighten the banjo bolt as you can snap it. I don't know the torque spec but I found getting it snugged up then a 3/4 turn was sufficient. The copper washers will take an imprint of the grooves to prevent leaking rather easily, it doesn't require gorilla torque.

      braided steel brake lines

I had both the Hawk ceramic pads and J&M steel braided brake lines installed front and rear. Install with fluid was $250. I took the time to bed the pads, and wasn't thrilled with the difference over stock at the time. But once everything cooled off and I drove it again, the difference was noticable. Not huge, but an improvement. Pedal is less spongy, and braking seems shorter but I can't measure that so its a guess.

      Great addition

Put these on in place of those cheap rubber lines when I upgraded to cobra brakes. They fit perfectly and look good too. Great pedal feel and price.

      awesome upgrade !!

i have installed these along with new rotors and Hawk performance ceramic brake pads about a month ago and i am very pleased with the results. to give you an idea; before installing these brake lines, in situations that required long and hard braking, i often felt like the braking power applied by my foot to the pedal, reaches a maximum (like a placebo effect) before it was applied to the pads and rotors. meaning it felt like after a certain amount of force that was applied to the pedal, the stopping power would not increase and the fluid pressure would only result in the expansion of the lines instead of applied pressure to pads and rotors. however after installing these i completely feel that all the power applied to the pedal is transformed and applied to the pads and rotors resulting in a much firmer pedal and great stopping power. and as always american muscle was fast and a great to deal with

      Worth Every Penny

I installed these with Drilled Rotors and Ceramic Brake Pads and have to say these Braided lines made the most fantastic difference. The Immidiate feel of the pedal was great and then the stopping power was incredible. It took about 2 hours to replace everything in the front and the rest of the afternoon doing the rear. If your looking to upgrade your brakes these lines are the first thing you must do.

      Nice Lines!!

Really nice fit and finish. If your looking to upgrade or replace your old lines then pick these. Just make sure you really tighten the lines to the caliper or they will leak even with new copper washers.

      J&M Stainless brake hoses front

Bought these from AM as an addition to the 4-wheel bullitt brake package I bought somewhere else (you didn't have it). The car stops much better than before. The hoses look great too. Glad I spent the extra money.
