What hp is the 30lb injectors rated for? I have 24lb injectors now

Michael

  • The amount of horsepower an injector can support has a lot of different variables to take into account including fuel type, fuel pressure, motor/power adder setup, etc. Feel free to call or chat in so we can help pick the best injector for your combo.

Hello, I'm unsure if I need these 30lb injectors or the 24lbs for my upgraded Bullitt. Its got Full bolt on's, stage 2 cams, stage 2 heads, comp cams valve springs and retainers and will be custom tuned. Thanks very much.

  • You should be fine with 24 lb injectors. Though, 30lb injectors will give you more play room in case you plan to do anymore modifications in the future. I would definitely make sure you have a good tuner in order to accommodate the larger injectors though. This will ensure that the car isn't just dumping an unnecessary amount of fuel.

I'm running a 97GT, ported Non PI, bolt-on set-up and I'm looking to convert to E85. Everywhere tells me to just stick the biggest injector I can find on there but that can't be right. Would this be a large enough injector for a tuned E85 set up?

AJBouck

  • The 30lb Accel High Performance EV1 Fuel Injector may not be sufficient to support the fuel needs, however, it would really depend on the exact set-up you are running. If you would like to give us a call at your earliest convenience, we would be more than happy to discuss applicable components.

Will these work? I have BBk long tubes shorty h pipe no cats,BBk cai, typhoon intake, bama tuner 78mm throttle body and spacer? I have 19 lb injectors right now and plan to do head and cam set up next but don't wanna have to buy injectors 2 twice

ScubaSteve99

  • while the Accel High Performance EV1 Fuel Injectors - 30lb (87-04 V8) would work on your car, this would still be a little to much. We would recommend the Accel High Performance EV1 Fuel Injectors - 24lb (87-04 V8) Item number 37263.

Will this work for my engine with these mods? I'm about to install these mods soon: E303 cams, BBK blackout CAI, SCT 4 bank eliminator chip, upgraded exhausts from headers back, uprgraded roller rocker arms, upgraded valve springs, pushrods, and other minor upgrades. Will these fuel injectors work well with all of this, or will I need to go to 44lb?

JakeBrooks

  • If the only major mod is the cam, the stock 19lb injectors will do fine. Remember that you'll have to get a MAF sensor calibrated to the new injectors for them to work properly. These injectors are intended for forced induction and heavier modifications like heads, intake and higher compression ratios. Until you're pushing 300 hp, 19's will do fine. Look into getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator instead at this stage.
