Boosts Horsepower. An AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake improves the airflow into your S197 Mustang's engine for more power and better gas mileage all while filtering out harmful power robbing particles. This AEM CAI kit completely replaces your 3.7L V6 Mustangs restrictive factory air box, intake tube and paper filter element with a Dryflow filter assembly for impressive HP and TQ gains.

No Tune Required. Unlike other Cold Air Intakes on the market for the 3.7L V6 Mustangs the AEM Brute Force CAI does not require a computer re-tune. The engineers at AEM designed, tuned, and dyno-tested this cold air intake to improve your Pony's power using the stock tune.

Reusable Air Filter. AEM Dryflow air filters are made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance. They are washable and re-usable and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing (depending on driving conditions).

Made in the USA. Manufactured in the USA from CNC mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum piping to assure smooth unrestricted airflow, this AEM cold air intake tube is completed in a Gunmetal Gray powder-coated finish for long lasting corrosion resistance and impressive good looks.

Lifetime Warranty. AEM is so confident in their cold air intake system that it is covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Easy Bolt-on Installation. AEM Cold Air Intake kits are designed to install with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications or special tools are required for an easy 1 hour installation.

Recommended Upgrade. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanMuscle recommends a Bama custom tune with a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best performance possible out of this cold air intake.

Application. This AEM Gunmetal Gray Brute Force Cold Air Intake System is specifically designed to fit the 2011 to 2014 Mustangs equipped with the 3.7L V6 Ti-VCT engine and does not require re-tuning the vehicles computer for operation.

Technical Note. This AEM Cold Air Intake is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

Is there any major difference between a closed box like this and an open box like the AirRaid MXP? The prices are similar both have dry filters. I also have a Bama tuner to finish out the install.

    • A closed airbox will draw exclusively from the grille, allowing for colder air entering the CAI. An open airbox will draw more air, but will typically be warmer air. Both approaches tend to make around the same power gains.

      Cool Look

Looks great under the hood. AEM great product. Would buy again for another car. Install was easy and simple step by step instructions came with. Basic sockets needed. Took about 1.5 hour and that is an over statement. Fit great. Not sure about Performance gain. Car seems to hum and breath easy

AEM Brute Force CAI on 2014 3.7 V6

Let me start by saying this, I'm not a mechanic, in fact I don't even change my lawnmower oil, but even someone like me can install this in an hour or just over. The hardest part for me was getting the seal installed where the tube goes into the airbox. once that was finally installed, the rest was easy. Fit and finish is excellent and a noticeable HP gain. I still have OE exhaust and it gave it a deeper groan. I am very happy in the two weeks that it has been installed. One other thing that I like was the gauge that's included that shows when you need to clean the filter. Overall, very impressed and will probably be my 1st mod on my next Mustang

      Amazing!

You can feel a difference, and it looks amazing. You can tell it is very good quality with a heavy duty plastic box, and the gunmetal looks great. Overall the install was easy, it took about 45 minutes.

Great cold air intake!!! it looks amazing and gives your mustang a very custom look under the hood. I don't know about HP gains but the throttle response is a lot better.

      Great Product

The materials all seem to be of great quality and the gunmetal finish looks great under the hood. I can definitely feel an improvement in throttle response, HP and TQ gains are not as noticeable. I was hoping for a bit more of a throaty sound into the higher RPMs but it's just not there. I mainly choose this intake because of the dry filter for easy maintence. Overall, a great looking, quality product that provides minor performance improvements. I imagine adding a tune would greatly increase the impact of this mod.

Review from AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake - Polished (11-14 V6)

      Looks great

I liked the way the AEM looked more than the KandN Typhoon so I went with the chrome. After install, I was happy with the fit and look. Sound wasn't much different from the factory air filter but I haven't done much testing at higher RPMs. Maybe taking the filter plate off might help with the sound?

      You can feel it.

I ordered KandN at first but it was out of stock so I opted for AEM and definitely pleased with the outcome. I also got the Bama tuner and I definitely recommend getting them together.

Review from AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake - Polished (11-14 V6)

      Sells itself!!!

Fantastic product for the cost, plus extremely easy to install. I broke my right hand a few weeks ago and had to install my intake utilizing my one good hand and it still took me less than 30 minutes! After installation I went for a test drive and could feel the engine breath much better! I am extremely pleased with and would highly recommend this product to anybody.

      Not Bad

You can defiantly hear the difference from the stock box intake. Can't feel much of a difference in performance until reaching the higher rpms. Probably would work better with a tune.
