Boosts Horsepower. An AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake will improve the airflow into your Mustang's engine for more power and better gas mileage all while filtering out harmful power robbing particles. This AEM CAI kit completely replaces your 4.6L GT Mustangs restrictive factory air box, intake tube and paper filter element with a Dryflow filter assembly for a noticeable increase in rear wheel horsepower and torque.

No Tune Required. Unlike other Cold Air Intakes on the market for the 4.6L GT Mustangs the AEM Brute Force CAI does not require a computer re-tune. The engineers at AEM designed, tuned, and dyno-tested this cold air intake to improve your Pony's power using the factory tune.

Reusable Dry Air Filter. AEM Dryflow air filters are made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance. They are washable and re-usable and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing (depending on driving conditions).

Made in the USA. Manufactured in the USA from CNC mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum piping to assure smooth unrestricted airflow, this AEM cold air intake tube is completed in a Gunmetal Gray powder-coated finish for long lasting corrosion resistance and impressive good looks.

Lifetime Warranty. AEM is so confident in their cold air intake system that it is covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Easy Bolt-on Installation. AEM Cold Air Intake kits are designed to install with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications or special tools are required for an easy 1 hour installation.

CARB Certified. Best of all this Mustang AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake Kit is 50-state smog legal under Carb EO# D-670-15.

Recommended Upgrade. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanMuscle recommends a Bama custom tune with a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best performance possible out of this cold air intake.

Application. This AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake System is specifically designed to fit the 1996 to 2004 GT Mustangs equipped with the SOHC 4.6L V8 Modular engine and does not require re-tuning the vehicles computer for operation.

I was curious as to about how much hp increase i could expect

    • You would be seeing around 15-20 more horsepower with this intake installed!

Weird question but is the aem sticker removeable? I like the gunmental color but want to keep it simple,

    • The AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake can be removed, however you may need some heat from a heat gun to loosen the adhesive, and may need some adhesive remover to clean up afterwards.

I have the Accufab 90mm throttle body for a 5.0L installed, will this intake work for me? If not any recommendations?

    • Unfortunately the inlet of the throttle body is 4 inches. The silicone fitting on the intake would have to be changed to make it fit properly.

      Nice Quality

Fits very well, good quality. Took about 2-3 hrs to install with removing the old intake (had a cheap CAI) and re-doing the one wire for the sensor. real simple and good instructions. not sure about any power gains as the car hasn't been back on the dyno yet

      Great Buy!

Easy to install, gave my GT a few more ponies and better throttle response. It's great!

It fits great, but the plug that goes in the hole of the filter is small, so i used electrical tape

Didn't take very long to put on the car and immediately noticed a power gain in comparison to my BBK intake I had. I've already recommended this product to people looking for an easy upgrade.

      AEM Gunmetal Cold Air Intake

This is a great Cold Air Kit and looks great, the gunmetal powdercoat is awesome with some metal flake mixed in to make it shine a little more. I also love the sound and feel of it although it's not overwhelming it is a descent increase. Keep in mind however that if you have a 96-01 Mustang like i do with the ATS sensor you will have to cut and spice the wires for it to move it to the relocation area in the filter, although the directions are good and everything is included. Make sure you have some wire strippers and a heat gun for the heat shrink.

      Not to shabby

The intake itself isn't bad. Installation was simply and easy. But when it came to the hareness you need for the IAC sensor its a pain. Make sure to have spare male and female butt ends. I saw a good amount of performance however. I'd still recommend for the price.
