    More Horsepower and Torque. An American Racing Headers Catted 1-3/4" Long Tube Header and X-Pipe Long System is engineered to increase the power and performance of your 5.0L coyote S550 Mustang. This American Racing Header and X-Pipe combo will significantly improve your GT Mustangs exhaust flow, when compared to the restrictive stock manifolds and resonator Mid Pipe, for a measured increase in rear wheel horsepower and torque.

    Race Car Growl. The included X-Pipe not only eliminates the factory resonator to help increase power, but it also adds a loud raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust with its modern "X" crossover pipe design.

    Quality Construction. American Racing Headers are manufactured in the USA from mandrel-bent 1-3/4" diameter 304 stainless steel tubing that merges into 3" collectors with scavenger spikes for superior exhaust flow. These long tube headers feature a one piece 3/8" header flange for additional strength, leak-free performance and an OEM style fit.

    Required Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle highly recommends a custom tune with a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) for proper operation.

    Cut & Clamp Installation. American Racing Headers designed their 3" Long Systems to "step down" at the rear axle, which allows you to reuse your stock mufflers or the 2-1/4" aftermarket axle-back of your choice. Installation will require cutting and reusing the stock muffler assemblies and clamping them in place. Clamps and detailed instructions are provided.

    Application. This American Racing Headers 1-3/4 x 3 in. Catted Long Tube Header with X-Pipe Long System is designed to fit both Fastback and Convertible 2015-2019 GT Mustangs equipped with the coyote 5.0L DOHC V8 engine. Requires the use of the factory or a 2-1/4" aftermarket axle-back exhaust for proper installation.

    Technical Note. Long tube headers are not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles; they are intended for off road use only.These Headers are intended for left hand drive applications only.

    I am interested in this project since it's basically a package deal, headers and mid-pipe. I have the Ford Performance Borla cat-back exhaust which is 2.25in tubing. If I was to use only the axle-back portion of that exhaust, with these 3in headers and mid-pipe, would I require a tune since there is a difference in sizes or would I be fine without?

    • Yes, a tune would be required with this system and we would not recommend running long tube headers without a tune.

      I paired this with the flowmaster outlaw axle back, some cutting and welding was required. But wow that quiet stock car now sounds like a NASCAR. You can definitely hear me coming now. The gaskets that come with it are cheap so I ended up buying oem gaskets. I also had a JLT CAI installed at the same time. It is a bit pricey but I wasn't going to put cheap headers on my new car lol It cost me $1200 to have everything done and it was $500 for the dyno tune, which I suggest because they save your stock tune.
