A straight-through design, the AWE Touring Edition Axleback is a 3” T304L stainless steel configuration featuring AWE’s proprietary, drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®.

With aggression on-tap, the Touring Edition provides the ultimate experience for drivers wanting the ability to unleash the fury of the LS while enjoying drone-free in-cabin acoustics at cruising speeds. Responsive to throttle input, the 180 Technology®-equipped Touring Edition is capable of remaining tame until provoked by the driver.

Keeping the aggression at the rear of the Z06/ZR1, and out of the cabin, is AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®.

As exhaust gases exit the LS engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves carried by these exhaust gases bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers.

By controlling the size and location of the ports and chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The precise timing of the reflected sound waves rejoining the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree, out-of-phase wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

The AWE Axlebacks + X-Pipe unlock dyno-proven gains of +12 hp and +4 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. AWE Axlebacks paired with the factory X-pipe unlock dyno-proven gains of +11 hp and +3 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

Finish it off with signature 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips — each stamped with the AWE logo and individually adjustable for precise placement.
